ttpd lyrics i think people are clowning on unfairly

  • "you wouldn't last a day in the asylum that raised me" the song is about her celebrity public image and she got famous as a teenager so in context i think she's talking about growing up in the music industry and being shaped by that
  • "the 1830s without all the racists" the next lines are about how everyone in the room got uncomfortable when she said it and she killed the vibe. the point is that it's a dumb thing to say and a dumb game overall

that said it IS valid to criticize her for saying she'd live in a past without racists when several songs on this album are about excusing her attraction to a racist guy. that's fair

Solar Eclipse Shadows

These solar eclipse shadows form due to the distance between the sun and the leaves on the trees. The distance and the proximity of the leaves to one another cause for a "lensing" type effect, making the eclipse shadow clearer to the human eye.

Context for the above: The chiru/赤鱬 ("red ru fish") is a creature from Chinese folklore/mythology described in the Nan Shan Jing ("Classic of the Southern Mountains") as a human-headed fish. It is described as basically fish-form but having a human face, and issuing sounds like the mandarin duck. Eating it purportedly prevented scabies or itchy skin.

when you download a pdf and it's called like 1328723486basdf12.pdf but then you gently rename it to what it's supposed to be. that's forming a bond with a hurt and wild mythological creature and reminding it who it is.
