✰ MIMURA: The classics. ↠ FAVES: Frankenstein, Freaks, Night of the Living Dead Not exactly a subgenre, but as a filmmaker, Mimura is quite fond of the earlier works of horror. He's particularly interested in the ways in which the genre has developed, from cinematography, tropes, to scare factors. He definitely wrote a 5000-word deep dive essay dissecting that.
✰ FUWA: 80s slashers. ↠ FAVES: Sleepaway Camp, Friday the 13th, The Slumber Party Massacre It's a guilty pleasure. She calls it fast food horror. Fuwa's well accustomed to the tropes of this genre now, and paired with how clever she already is, her predictions of what's going to happen are always right. Her friends don't like watching these with her because she always unintentionally spoils it along the way.
✰ NAKAMURA: Self-aware horror comedy. ↠ FAVES: Scream, Cabin in the Woods Oh she is a super fan of the Scream franchise. I'm talking dedicated follower, owns every movie and probably has a merch collection somewhere. These types of movies just scratches her brain in all the best ways. You will definitely catch her writing paragraphs upon paragraphs explaining her theories too.
✰ CHIBA: Monster movies and supernatural. ↠ FAVES: Fear Street trilogy, It, The Thing If there's one thing Chiba loves in horror movies, it's the explanations of a complex lore of unexplainable beings. These movies tap into the otherworldly and usually have coming-of-age themes mingled within, which is right up his alley.
✰ SUGAYA: Found footage. ↠ FAVES: The Blair Witch Project, Lake Mungo, Noroi: The Curse There is just something so raw about found footage movies, and it is this very aspect that makes Sugaya so fond of them. He views it as a form of art that is very flexible. It can portray just about anyone and anything and still feel real. He considers that the magic of it all.
✰ HAYAMI: Vengeful spirits. ↠ FAVES: Shutter, The Ring, Sinister Bonus points if it takes place in a haunted house. Hayami believes that the sole purpose, the very heart and soul, of watching horror movies is to get scared. So that's exactly the type of movies she seeks out when she's in the mood for horror. Rather than intensity and gore, she best enjoys horror movies when they're built on suspense and unease.

I loveeee any of the WLW ships in AssClass honestly! I think the girls are so sweet and funny and have a lot of underused unique dynamics!
Also partly I love them out of spite because the fandom largely ignores sapphic ships in favor of MLM ones.
Hayami x Yada gives besties to lovers vibes, in the cutest way possible. Their friendship in canon is so sweet, and lowkey a case of “look similar, but are internally opposites” lol.
They’re both pretty and girly, but while Hayami is icy and reserved, Yada is a social butterfly. I also LOVE that these traits can be inverted. Underneath her cold demeanor, Hayami is very soft and caring. Meanwhile, Yada has a darker cunning side to herself.
They would be the girlfriends who do each others makeup for sureeee. Also the type to buy each other a million stuffed animals, as well as share steal each others clothes.
Both of them are also dancers, which was the main bonding point of their friendship! I can see them having fun dance battles that get competitive quickly lol, or just dancing together for absolutely no reason in their kitchen at 3am.
Overall I love shy girl x outgoing girl so this relationship is adorableee, and I’m here for it

🐱 I like the idea of everyone finding her stern or unapproachable just because poor girl has a strong RBF, when in reality she’s like the cutest thing alive
🐱 She doesn’t just like cats, no, she’s fucking obsessed. Like we all have that one friend who would literally die for any cat, and that’s Hayami.
🐱 She leaves out dishes of cat food and heating pads for the strays in her neighborhood. She also has a myriad of cat-themed pens and stuffies in her room, always tucked away if she ever has guests.
🐱 Her guilty pleasure is watching trashy reality shows thanks to Okajima. They watch Love is Blind and Keeping Up with the Kardashians together, sometimes joined by Mimura and Sugaya.
🐱 The chocolate bullets she got for Chiba were actually specially made by her. She wanted to give him a thoughtful gift, but also didn’t want to step over any boundaries in their dynamic so she stuck to something they already bonded over.

Before Class E, she literally allowed herself to be used and cheated on just to feel a semblance of connection, just to feel needed. And now she has a giant class of people who love and cherish her unconditionally 🥺💗

🤎 Mimura has a slight gap in his two front teeth and it’s like the cutest thing ever when he smiles. He’s very shy about it though, and had a habit of smiling closed until he came to 3-E and felt more comfortable with himself.
🤎 Sugaya actually really likes graphic novels and comics, but mostly for the art styles and artistic merit. He collects some to use as inspiration.
🤎 Kimura once tried to take advantage of his running speed and get 20 extra minutes of sleep before DASHING like a mad man up the mountain. And it worked until Yada told him he stunk of sweat and even Kurahashi was avoiding him lmao.
🤎 Kimura has definitely gotten caught talking shit about someone, and then running for his life afterwards.

I don’t know why but Mimura gives me the vibes that he’s allergic to like 474737 things. Like you ask him if he has any allergies, and he starts counting with fingers LMAO.

Hazama has a peanut allergy, and it’s so cute because one of the other squad members always carries an epi-pen just in case she forgets hers.
Okano and Kimura are both lactose intolerant but literally could not care less. They’ll still drink chocolate milk, eat ice cream, etc. Jokes on them because then they pay the price in the bathroom.
Reaper 2.0 is very allergic to shellfish, so when he realizes he has to camp out in Japan for like a year to get his revenge, he’s so mad. Like that leaves him very few options for food lmao.
Chiba is super cautious with what shampoos and hair products he uses bc he’s had random allergic reactions before and it was HELL. So he doesn’t ever wanna relive that.
And I don’t know if this counts as an allergy per say, but I could see Muramatsu being sensitive to bug bites. Like his gets super big, red itchy reactions, and that’s partly why he HATES bugs. Esp if they’re in his kitchen bc that’s supposed to be his safe space 🥺
Karasuma is allergic to chocolate. No, he really doesn’t care since he’s not big on sweet stuff. But every time someone finds out, they have the most dramatic pitying reactions and it drives him crazy.

So the first couple times I looked at this ask, I thought you meant Kataoka x Okano…and my brain was confused like “oh why would that be random lol, they’re besties?”
And now I just realized you probably meant Kaho 😂😭 omggg ok yeah that is a random combo but I’m here for it 👀
Kaho is the kind of person that Okano thinks she’s jealous of tbh. A girl who’s secure in her femininity, gets guys with little effort (seemingly), and just overall has an “it girl” kind of look. Note that this isn’t the reality, but it’s what Okano would choose to see
But if in some type of scenario, they’re forced to spend time together or they’re somehow pulled together, I think that jealousy would fade and fade until it’s just…attraction. Like it becomes an admiration and realization of Kaho’s true personality, not just what Okano chose to selectively think.
Also I see Okano as someone who would struggle with her sexuality. It takes her a while to realize she’s bi/queer, and even then, it takes a lot of time and growth to really understand her attraction to people. (Am I projecting? Maybe a little 😳 a lot actually)
Meanwhile on Kaho’s end, I don’t think she would immediately see Okano as “her type.” Likewise, I think it would take some time for her to get to know her. But she admires a lot of Okano traits, like how decisive she is, how she doesn’t take shit from anyone, how passionate she is, etc.
Who makes the first move? Kaho for sure lmao, she’s always doing the chasing
Now imagine Okano teaching her how to do complicated flips and skateboard tricks lol 💗😂 and then treating Kaho’s scrapes afterwards
