And Katsuki's eyes are full of so much longing that his friends kinda start figuring out what's actually going on and Kaminari says, mostly as a joke to lighten the mood:

"Well, if you want to be with him for the rest of your life, you could marry him!"

They all expect Katsuki to get angry, but he freezes and his eyes open wide like the most amazing secret of the universe has just been revealed to him.

And he grins in a way that makes his friends think he has gone mad.

"You're right! You're a genius, Dunce face!"

Oboro died while trying his best to protect his best friend and his voice carried over to him even afterwards and Kurogiri found them at war and still saved their lives.

Tomura dies while trying his best to destroy the world that wouldn't allow his friends to live and he died wanting to be their hero and refusing to stop being their leader even as he decayed.

Toga had a meltdown over how much she loved Tomura and turns out the reason why she could not use his quirk is because she took his hatred with her, all that rage on his behalf.

Tomura was thinking about her as she decayed and fighting for his life in order to be the hero she always wanted and needed.
