Dean loves hugging Sam from behind.
At home, at diners, in the shower. Even at night, Dean will slide up behind Sam and wrap his arms around him.
Sam’s favorite, though, is when Dean gets up in the morning. By the time he finally drags himself out of bed, Sam has already been up for a few hours. Dean usually finds him in the kitchen making a fifth cup of coffee.
When Sam hears Dean’s slippers shuffling against the floor, he already knows what’s coming. Sure enough, a few seconds later, Dean is pressing his front against Sam’s back, slowly snaking his arms around Sam’s middle. He rests his head between Sam’s shoulder blades, heavy with sleep, and closes his eyes. After a minute, Sam speaks.
Dean’s voice is low and rough when he responds, “Hmm?”
Sam smiles, hearing the tiredness. He slides his coffee cup aside and grabs an empty one for Dean.
“You gonna fall asleep on me, or do you want some coffee?”
Dean gives a displeased grunt, but removes himself from Sam. He grabs the mug in one hand and starts pouring from the pot.
Sam grabs his own cup, his laptop tucked under his arm, and presses a quick kiss to Dean’s cheek.
