Attract Ladybugs
  • Lots of flowers🐞(grow kitchen herbs like basil, thyme, arugula, rosemary, etc and let them flower. This doubles their usefulness, especially if you’re limited on space and can’t grow non-edible flowers)
  • Bug motels 🐞(bamboo shoot bundles, straw stuffed inside old bricks, sticks piled sideways in a recycled tin can, etc)
  • Watering hole 🐞(an old teacup filled with bitty pebbles, then filled with water will keep them from drowning and offer them water)
  • They eat bad bugs out of your garden (like aphids) and pollinate your plants, which feeds you
  • Ladybugs are also good luck, and a positive omen—especially if they land on you 🐞
