Current Headcanon about Wyldstyle's upbringing

1: her parents are from another Systar system. Long story short, Finn went over to a friend's house where his friend's sister was throwing out some old Lego, she told Finn he could take some home with him and he chose Lucy as well as a few other things, but most of it was too girly for him.

She never knew her parents and all memory of them is gone

2: president Business found the little orphan with a strangely amazing singing voice and decided to 'raise' her. And by that he meant his robots would raise her (because he obviously has no time) and subtly forced her to become a pop star and use her to create music properganda to brainwash citizens

3: she was between 15 - 17 when Vitruvius found her and she found out the truth about lord Business. She ran away with help from the master builders and swore to destroy everything her 'father' had planned.

4: she trained as hard as she could into her 20's with Vitruvius to become the perfect master builder and soon special, she wanted to be the one to destroy Lord Business. Vitruvius was her new father figure, but even he had other students, so she never really had a family, but it doesn't bother her. She just wants to be a hero.

Au where before Emmet can do the master-breaker punch on the space temple Lucy jumps in his way and he ends up punching her (whether she dies or not is up to you)

Haha angst!

Time machine. Angst averted! Suck it teenage cliche!

Buh buh buh, not so fast.

Rex still doesn't like Lucy, so he wouldn't bother

In the event that Emmet accidentally kills Lucy and then figures out Rex had planned armammagedon, he swears he'll never become like Rex and therefore Rex doesn't exist, nor does his time machine
