Proshipper = you're against censorship and harassment over fiction & curate your experience on the internet to have a healthy distance from things that make you uncomfortable

Antishipper = you're okay and even encourage harassment towards "freaks" and "weirdos" society deems acceptable to hurt

Reminder. Proshipping only means that you don’t harass people over fiction. It’s only a stance on harassment and censorship. It doesn’t mean you have to like dark fiction.

If you can’t tell the difference between fiction and reality, and value fictional characters over living breathing people then you need reevaluate yourself. If you go on a moral crusade to isolate and bully people, you’re an abuser. You’re the aggressor here. Instead of curating your experience on the internet you choose to seek out material that upsets you instead of finding things that actually make you happy in life.

(Btw callouts incite riots and harassment. Don’t plaster people’s names in bright neon lights, publicly make fun of them, and then claim you’re completely innocent and never intended for things to escalate. The people you’re with are face eating leopards. That crowd is pro-harassment to harass and target people is the endgoal to begin with. Saying proship dni is saying “I will be okay with you being harassed and abused over fiction” THATS THE POINT. Take accountability for your actions, look up studies on how art therapy works (there’s so many), learn the proper definition of anti/proship, and learn proper fandom history. Learn from this. people have asked me what to do and here's my proposal:

- support your fandom artists! and support my friends (but im not listing them off because im not dealing with Another List /lh)

- report callout accounts and block people who encourage harassment like this. i don't need to name names because most of you know who they are and will see them around the fandom inevitably. acknowledging they exist is the very first thing they'd want you to do. don't fall for it.

- just be nice?? to other people???? no matter what your stance is??????? it's not that hard. it's the easiest thing to do out of all the things i listed.

anyway, again, we really appreciate the support. please send love towards the people in The List™ because they are lovely people that ive both known for ages and care about. they need it the most (dont tell them) (if you see this no you dont)

Internet Drama and Real Life

Hello Tumblr, I never thought I'd have to make this sort of post before but lets get into it. First off: I'm very much neutral on the subject of the whole Proship or Anti-proship debacle. I'm not chronically online as most people are because I'm just not a big tumblr user. Second off: I've interacted with people who are on both sides of the debate. I'm friends with people who are on both sides of the debate. Does this change anything about me? No not really. Does this mean that I support proshippers? No. Does this mean that I support anti-proshippers? No. Does this mean that I just want to have fun with the people I interact with online and be friends with them? Yes. Somehow, within the last day or so, people within the whole UTMV fandom have gone from the simple mentality of "block and move on" to "doxxing and killing". Genuinely, from the bottom of my heart, what the fuck.

Reminder: This is petty internet drama. It's nothing to dox people over. If you truly believe that someone for having a different view point on the world needs to be violently hanged and killed, then you need to step back and look at the situation and what you're saying.

Doxxing someone, while not inherently illegal, is very immoral on various social media platforms. Multiple people on both sides of the debate, whether you're an "anti" or a "proship", don't want their personal information released online. Why would you do that? What's your end game there? By posting someone's private information with the intent to harass and make their life miserable, they can actually file a civil lawsuit against you. It's very, very easy to file a civil suit against someone else. There's also the various other legal ramifications such as violations of personal privacy, harassment, and if you're actually wanting to follow through on those threats of violence, cyberstalking. -----

Also before you come at me and say "oh, you're neutral, you support proshitters", that doesn't make you look like the good guy man. I'm neutral because I'm just a guy that wants to play minecraft and I want to talk with my friends. jesus christ.
