She knew Sebastian, the idiotic man that he was right now for defying a team order, wanted to win this race at all costs and get a win against his name early on in the season. She also knew her boyfriend Mark wanted this win more than anything, to show everyone out there who doubted him and said he was too slow for a seat at a top team they were wrong. As she watched the two duel on the main straight she had to cover her eyes, willing that Mark could just stay an inch ahead of Sebastian and keep in front. Despite working for Seb as his PA she really wanted Mark to win this, she knew he had one more race win in him and Malaysia 2013 would be that win, that was until Sebastian decided he wanted it.

As she watched Sebastian finally take the lead of the race she let out a small sigh as her heart broke for Mark, she was going to make sure Seb knew there was going to be absolute hell to pay for this.

She had to admit she was uncharacteristically nervous about today as she waved out to the crowd gathered in the stadium cheering her on. Perhaps it was the fact she knew this was it, after all the years of racing she’d taken part in her career as a professional driver was coming to and end here tonight at the Race of Champions. There was a part of her that did wonder if this was the right decision, maybe she could make it work in another series and race for a few more years, with the connections she and Toto had there would be a Mercedes works team somewhere who’d take her. But as she looked at Toto who smiled and took her hand without question she knew the answer to that was no she couldn’t go racing anymore, not if she wanted to set about making a family with Toto.

Toto just looked up at his wife with a look of awe mixed in with a little sadness her career was ending as he asked her a question, “you’ll give them hell tonight right?”

And just like that it's time for cosmic child 1s first day of nursery 🥹 If anyone needs me I'll be crying at my desk in my office wondering when my little girl got so big.

A busy few weeks in the world of the Cosmic Child. Going to Silverstone with the team, celebrating 800 races for the team. And then one of the most utterly surreal times of my life at Goodwood FOS. It's fair to say I did things baby cosmic child couldn't have imagined in her wildest dreams when she dreamed she'd work in F1. Meeting childhood heroes, getting to be a part of the action running cars up and down the paddock, and admittedly it was just cooling the car with a giant leaf blower, but getting to work on the absolutely iconic FW14B with Sebastian in the car. An absolute dream come true! I'm now counting down the days until summer break as I'm absolutely exhausted and need a break for some time! This has been an absolutely crazy first half of the season and I wouldn't change it for anything in the world .

So looking forward to this weekend. Myself and Cosmic Child 1 will be heading to the FE in London! I cannot wait for my little girl to enjoy her first trackside race.

And again for those of you asking as this always happens when a motorsport events gets cancelled. YES I am at Goodwood this weekend. Don’t worry I’m fine and chilling back at the team hotel right now. We’re looking forward to being at Goodwood tomorrow.
