When I watch S1, I see it as Steve being the only person for Nancy that doesn't try to put her in a box. I think everyone else around her tries to hold her to a certain standard and has expectations of her (jon, Barb, Karen, even Murray in S2, her misogynistic bosses in S3) Steve just lets her experiment and live on the edge and take risks (which I don't think she had the chance to experience that before because she was most likely cautious & tried to be safe about her choices & made sure to not go against what others expected of her). In my opinion, meeting Steve allowed her to grow and come into her own. She felt more confident in herself after being around him (maybe because of how he presents himself or maybe because he just let her be herself/discover herself) and she stopped caring about what others thought of her. They both really cared deeply for each other, and she was so happy around him since all he ever wanted was for her to enjoy her life and now in S4 he brings her hope (which she needs now more than ever after that vision Vecna showed her). As for Steve, being with Nancy made him realize he needed to mature and care about others. He wanted to be a better person, and he worked on himself to make things right. I think that the things they learned from each other are ironic in that Steve taught Nancy that it's okay to do her own thing no matter what other people think & to not let other people's opinions get in the way of her life, and Nancy taught Steve that he does need to consider other people's feelings and care more about the people around him. And now seeing them in S4, it makes so much sense to see them come back to each other after growing up and coming into their own. And to see that their feelings for each other are still there is like a full circle moment. They were the right people for each other back then (because of what they ended up teaching one another), and they are still right for each other now (they have matured to be able to be with each other hopefully without anyone or anything getting in the way this time).

Light clarifications; The fae is not the one choosing the bones. The bone is taken at random. Each bone, no matter the size or importance, is worth a full million dollars. You must also declare the exact number first, you can't go bone-by-bone. You either say 2 or you say 10, you can't work your way up to a higher number. lmao I was going to say zero, until I saw the random bone generator, so I decided to try my luck with 3...

I got the lacrimal bone (small facial bone between the eyes and nose), hamate bone (small bone in the wrist), and something called the yogeo bone, which said it was a cranial bone, but had no diagram, so I googled it and it's not a real bone, apparently?

So like... good luck finding that one I guess... I think I can survive without these bones lol
