Matias Hernandez, 26 years old, cop, and loves to sing on his spare time. He used to live in Cuba, he was born and raised there, but moved to NYC recently. As much as he loved Cuba, he wanted to be closer to his siblings, who lived in the big apple. His parents died when he was 20 years old, so there was nothing holding him back.

Vanessa woke up feeling rather weirdly. Once she opened her eyes, she could hear all the noise of New York and her cat was nowhere to be found. He usually woke her up instead in his various ways of trying to get her attention. She sat up and stretched herself. Not many seconds later, she widened her eyes and realized that her house had been burgled. Her laptop was gone, as well as her TV and everything else was a mess. She didn’t understand how everything happened, with her sleeping and her heart started beating much faster, as she walked around her apartment studio noticing other stuff that was missing as well. She felt her hands shaking, as she dialed 911, hoping that they didn’t hurt Pocus, her cat-or he just escaped-as she noticed the wide-opened windows.  After giving her name, adress and what happened, they told her that the police would come as soon as they could. She dressed up, trying to keep her cool, and everything turned numb from one point and on.
Time flew too fast, as the police came and started investigating the place, and asked her questions. They told her about that they’re about to catch the guy or guys that they keep doing that. And Vanessa continued asking them to look for a black cat that had a green collar and answers (or not) to the name “Pocus”. After handing them a great amount of her cat’s photographs, the police volunteered to take her to the police department, so that she could file the report and report also the missing items in her house. Once they arrived, they told her to sit in the waiting room, waiting for an officer to ask her the right questions to fill the report-or that was what she caught from everything they’ve said to her.

The day was so busy, they were in so many situations of risk, which was what was making him want to go home, and just call off the day, but he still had to work. He couldn’t just walk out of the police station, and do whatever he wanted, but he wished that he could. As much as he loved his job, and helping people, there were days that he just wanted to stay at home, because he was tired, or just didn’t have the motivation. But he was someone responsible, so he wouldn’t call in sick, and pretend that he couldn’t go like some people. Even though he felt that way, he still did an amazing job, so he never let a bad day stop him from being amazing at what he did. There was a reason why people always complimented him and how he did his job, because he was actually good at it.

After arresting a group of people that were selling drugs, they got back to the police station, and shortly after, he had to go talk to someone that just had their house robbed. He walked toward the table that she was sitting on, and sat down across it, so he could make her some questions, and try to find out who did it, “Evening, I’m gonna guess that they already told you that I’m going to be asking you some questions to fill out the report,” he opened it up on the computer, “Tell me your full name.”
