I found a Pokemon book at Toys R Us andā€¦

This took a dark spin and I wasnā€™t ready

I looked this up and by ā€œbike gangā€ they apparently meant literal bicycles.

Upon further research, James was in the same gang and had to use training wheels.

Dont gloss over the part where she also went to nursing school to become a Pokemon Center Nurse. She flunked out but made best friends with a Chansey! Basically everything in that blurb has happened at some point in the animeĀ

I donā€™t think the thing with her mom was though, that was released as a radio play. Madame Boss (Giovanniā€™s mother) Sent Jessieā€™s mom (in Japan known as Miyamoto) and tried to convince Mew to let her catch it by showing it a picture of Jessie

CAN WE FUCKIN DITCH ASH AND MAKE THESE 3 LOSERS THE MAIN PROTAGONISTS

Soā€¦ the reason why Giovanni keeps Jesse around is because his mother ruined Jesseā€™s life by taking away her mother, and he feels guilty about it?Ā

It actually kinda makes sense,

I canā€™t believe Mew fucking murdered Jessieā€™s mom

Please, just give me a spinoff series about Team Rocket.

Avatar
sindri42

Thereā€™s actually a lot of reasons for Giovanni to keep these guys around. Like, theyā€™re really bad at actual crime and basically never turn a profit, so he was understandably pissed at them for a lot of the first couple seasons and revoked their funding a few times, but then? They started to save the world. Every time Ash got into some seriously apocalyptic shit, Team Rocket was there to back him up. And they have been instrumental in society/the world/the fabric of spacetime remaining intact at least a dozen times by now.

Now, Giovanni is not a good person, but he is a practical man. You cannot run a profitable criminal empire when everybody is dead or money has no meaning. And ever since MewTwo escaped thereā€™s approximately fuck all he can do to stop most of the forces intent on demolishing the planet he does business on and, by extension, his business. But all the evidence suggests that if he continues to supply these couple losers with fresh hot air balloons and giant vacuum cleaners every few weeks and then leaves them to do whatever stupid shit theyā€™re doing, the world will remain safe for years to come. And he may not have any clue as to how or why this works, but you do not get to be in control of the most powerful criminal organization in the world by questioning results.

Jessie and James might appear to be useless, but there was a period in the show (around the Black and White games) when they werenā€™t focused on trying to catch Pikachu, and they were successful! They committed crimes and stuff and were really good at it.

They werenā€™t bad Rocket members, Ash and Pikachu were just really good at stopping them.

Please help my mom had a stroke!

My mom had a stroke on December 16th and to help her Iā€™m missing a lot of work and a lot of money. Other than when Iā€™m visiting her I have a good bit of free time during the day and Iā€™d like to make up at least a little for the money Iā€™m losing.Ā

Iā€™m opening up cell-shaded only commissions for $40 for one character and +$20 for extra characters. No complex BGs at this time. If you do want a background we can talk about the price.Ā

I can do furry/anthro characters but because of the difficulty its $15+ per character. So one cell-shaded anthro with no background would be $55 and two would be $90. I also retain the right to refuse any commissions I do not feel comfortable with.

Here are some examples of cell-shadedĀ images I have done recently

Please, I appreciate all the help you can give even if itā€™s just reblogging this vs liking it.

Message me (not ask) and we can begin talking about your commission!!

Hey, everyone, my mom had a stroke last night

Its only been six months since the last one. Shes showing a lot of the same symptoms so Iā€™ll probably be out again for 2 or 3 weeks to take care of her. So Iā€™m opening up emergency commissions again to try to make up for what money I will be loosing.

At this time for efficiency, I will not be doing backgrounds at all. But if you have an image or a vector of background I will apply it.

Please even if you arent interested in commissions or donā€™t have the money a reblog is much more helpful than a like.

Thank you so so much!

I ended up being off work for 40 days to take care of my mom and more bills have been coming in so my savings have really been cut into from all this. Iā€™ve completed my prior list of commissions so Iā€™m ready to start right away!!

Once again even if your not interested in a commission or donā€™t want one now please reblog this to spead it around! Thank you so so much!

I get the hate for the US and I 100% agree with it, but honestly, the complete lack of compassion non-Americans have for us is staggering.

Weā€™re mocked for not having healthcare, for having mass shootings, for being stuck in poverty, for not having liveable wages, for literally every tragedy that hits us.

And the people mocking us donā€™t understand or just donā€™t care that these arenā€™t our choices. The majority of Americans are pro-gun control. The majority of Americans are pro-universal healthcare. The majority of Americans want a higher minimum wage.

But what we want doesnā€™t matter because our votes donā€™t matter. Our voting machines are rigged, we canā€™t take time off of work or school to vote, politicians use gerrymandering to twist things in their favor, minorities (particularly Black people) suddenly find themselves unregistered right before elections, certain groups (mainly Black men) are kept from voting by charging them with felonies, etc. Even our votes for president donā€™t matter because the popular vote is only symbolic; the real decision is made by the Electoral College, an organization that is purposely shrouded to prevent people from understanding what it is. We donā€™t even get to choose our Electoral College representatives and we sure as hell canā€™t control who they vote for, even if they go against the popular vote.

We have no real control over politics in this country and it is genuinely fucking terrifying.

DO NOT DO THIS.

This makes me so angry.

If you work in a movie theater and you do this I have no respect for you.

My younger brother is Type 1 Diabetic.

When we go to a movie theater, we always get him diet soda. If he were to get regular when we asked for diet, we would not give him the insulin he would need for it. If that happens, his blood sugar level could go so high he could go into a coma, go blind, or even die.

If somebody gave him regular soda instead of diet without telling us, that person could be responsible for a nine-year-old being killed or blinded.

Just thinking about that makes me so angry. I get scared every time we take him to a movie in case the people working there saw this picture and decide to do the same thing.

Please signal boost this so people know.

This also applies to baristas

Fun story about the baristas doing this kind of shit.Ā

I am very sensitive to lactose, not Lactose intolerant but because of stomach ulcers that are still healing. A couple years ago I went to Starbucks right after my classes with some friends and asked for a green tea latte with soy milk. The barista, for some reason out of malice and/or hate for her life so she took it out on me, gave me whole milk in my latte.

5 minutes after my first sip of latte, my stomach cramped BAD. Not the ā€œOh! time to poop!ā€ kind of cramp but it felt like someone had stabbed me with a knife and twisted it. Now Iā€™ve had this happen before so I knew the cause of it. I went up to the barista clutching my gut screaming at her that she put dairy in my latte rather than soy LIKE I REQUESTED. She denied it and called me a ā€œpretentious white girl for wanting soyā€and so my friends got the manager. I had to explain that I had stomach ulcers that were still healing and if I were to go to the hospital for this incident, they would be responsible for it.

Manager flipped his shit and the barista was terrified out of her mind. Pretty sure both thought i was gonna sue. Manager actually fired her on the spot because of the negligence. My friends managed to get me home in one piece while I stayed home for 3 days in absolute agony and missed my midterm.

So remember kiddies, if someone is asking for Diet orĀ ā€œSkinnyā€ orĀ ā€œsoyā€ or anything that is not regular, give them what they requested because it may not be them being healthy, but a dietary need that can possibly be life or death

also if they ARE trying to be healthy you should give it to them to!! Its not your decision to police or question others food choices!!!Ā

also im lactose intolerant AND ive had stomach infections/ulcers so i feel this.Ā

I have Celiac Disease, so Iā€™m very gluten intolerant. When I go out to eat at restaurants a lot of people just assume that I asked for my food gluten free because of the gluten free diet fad (which is usually a bullshit diet btw).Ā

Last month I went out to dinner with a friend at an italian restaurant that had a small gluten free menu. I had been there once before and had their gluten free pasta and it was great! I think one of the managers had been there and was super helpful when taking my order to make sure that everything was gluten free for me. When I ordered the gluten free pasta again this time though, the waitress who took my order all but rolled her eyes at me. I didnā€™t think much of it at the time, because the restaurant was so accommodating before, I just assumed it would be the same this time.

But sure enough, they brought out my pasta, I ate it, and about an hour later I had extreme stomach pains and was throwing up (in a movie theater no less).

Barfing and agonizing pain aside, eating gluten when you have celiac causes a lot of internal damage thatā€™s hard to notice. The biggest thing is that it damages your intestines, preventing your body from absorbing nutrients properly, which can take months to heal.

So PLEASE, if you work at a restaurant or anything with food and someone asks for something a certain way, please listen to them and donā€™t just disregard someoneā€™s order. Itā€™s not funny and it can have serious consequences.

I will reblog this with every single story about someone getting sick because of an asshole giving them the opposite of what they ordered until it sinks in for everyone.

Recently on the news a 16 year old boy with a dairy allergy had gone to eat at IHOP with his family. The specifically asked if they could make dairy free pancakes and they said yes. Not too long after he had a reaction and was rushed to the hospital. This kid died because the was dairy in his pancakes that they asked for no dairy. His epi pen that his mother had wasnā€™t enough to help him. I know working in fast food or any job thatā€™s serves food and beverage sucks but not as much as causing someone to get sick over negligence.

My youngest cousin ā€“ who is now five, he just started kindergarten ā€“ has Celiacā€™s disease. You would not BELEIVE the amount of times Iā€™ve heard my aunt say sheā€™s ordered something gluten free, only to watch the waiter or waitressā€™s eyes go huge when she gives it to my cousin ā€“ my cousin with the medical id band on his tiny five year old wrist proclaiming I HAVE CELIACS and have to take it back. Shit like this could kill my cousin. Knock it the fuck off.

I cannot tolerate caffeineā€“it makes me have chest pain and a racing pulse, and also gives me horrible body pain, so I always ask for decaf if I order coffee when Iā€™m out, and doublecheck with the waiter/ress when they bring it. but instead of sayingĀ ā€œis this decaf like I asked for?ā€ I always sayĀ ā€œoh, did I remember to order decaf?ā€ I shouldnā€™t have to act like Iā€™m the forgetful one (because I know damn well I asked for decaf) but it seems to work better than implying that they screwed up when I take the blame on myself like that. and if thereā€™s any hesitation when they answer, I tell them,Ā ā€œif thereā€™s any doubt, please get another one, or just give me waterā€“if this is regular, itā€™ll mess up my heartā€ and lots of times when I say that, they look alarmed and go change it or get another one.Ā

but I shouldnā€™t HAVE to share my personal medical history with strangers just to get my order right! no one should! how is it their business? it makes me really uncomfortable to have to do that. JUST GIVE PEOPLE WHAT THEY ORDER!

donā€™t be that kind of asshole.

As a diabetic, this would make me so beyond angry. Skinny doesnā€™t mean they donā€™t have a life threatening illness. Skinny doesnā€™t mean they can process sugar the way you do. People that do this are the worst kinds of people. DO NOT DO THIS!

Me and my family went to a restaurant a few years back and one of the dishes we ordered was made with wine vinegar, which I am allergic to, so we asked the waiter to skip it, and he said sure, no problem, thatā€™s fine. So my food gets to the table, and I start eating and then my throat closes and I canā€™t breathe and then I start coughing and throwing up right there in the middle of the restaurant and it was very fortunate that I was with my family and they knew what was happening to me. I had to be rushed to the hospital, and admitted, and I came damn near close to having my throat cut open so I could breathe through a whole on my neck. Because they put wine vinegar in my food when I explicitly told them not to, because they were assholes, and I could have died. They probably didnā€™t mean to hurt me but they did. I missed class, and work, and, again, I COULD HAVE DIED.

i have cyclic vomiting syndrome and canā€™t tolerate dairy or red meat. violating my dietary restrictions triggers an acute episode, and i have to be hospitalized and given iv saline, ativan, and anti-emetics to stop the (extremely painful and incapacitating) vomiting. if somebody put regular milk instead of soy milk in my latte and i didnā€™t notice the taste immediately, i could wind up in the er and then spend several days in bed recovering, eating nothing but saltines and dry toast and clear liquids until my body was able to tolerate food again, unable to work or go out or do anything besides rest. whenever i go to starbucks, i WATCH them make my drink. cvs episodes are horrible and i hate them, and i can prevent them if i do everything right, but that means my damn barista has to cooperate. if somebody decided i was a stuck up white girl and gave me whole milk instead of soy they could put me in the hospital and cost me days of income. give ppl the food they fuckin order. itā€™s not that hard.

Reblogging because itā€™s so important. Iā€™m ā€œluckyā€ I donā€™t have any food allergies or intolerence, but it makes me mad when people take them not seriously, think you are picky or just following a ā€œwhite girl diet fadā€.

90% of people donā€™t take my cats and dog allergies seriously when I tell them Iā€™m allergic and wondering if a cat or a dog is present at X place. They think itā€™s just watery eyes. Nope. Well yeah, watery and itchy eyes, but I start wo wheeze and have trouble breathing. They donā€™t give epi-pen for those (anyway you have to go to the hospital after) just inhaler. Itā€™s no miracle, specially if I didnā€™t take other meds before.

When people tell you about their allergies or restriction, trust them!

Reblogging for all the stories here because this is sooo important!Ā

I have a severe allergy to gluten and relate to MANY of the stories above. My daughter has a severe allergy to milk fat, and I have had to hold her hair many times while she vomits on the side of the road because we couldnā€™t even make it home from theĀ ā€œaccidentalā€ whole milk instead of skim.Ā

greenteamoon

Iā€™m super lactose intolerant so accidental milk is always fun. Severe diarrhea, stomach cramps, bloating, and gas like you wouldnā€™t believe. Better than death you might say but, I have other medical conditions, so that diarrhea could lead to vomiting(itā€™s so bad the vomit comes out my mouth AND nose) and dehydration that in turn becomes low cortisol and adrenal crisis. A bitchy barista can land me in the hospital with an intramuscular shot and saline iv. Hun, it takes no time to listen and follow my order. It takes me at least 24 hours to get out of the hospital. Be nice.

Iā€™m allergic to pork. Legit allergic. I canā€™t count how many times Iā€™ve had to ask it off my food only to receive it with bacon or ham or something on it.

Please respect peoples food requests. It costs 0.00$ to not be a dick.

I actually have customers who say theyā€™ll only eat at my restaurant when Iā€™m there, because they know I require all policy to be followed, as inĀ ā€œI will kick you the fuck off your shift if you skimp,ā€ if someone says the words ā€œI have an allergy.ā€ I developed our allergy policies, for that matter, because what we had in place before wasĀ ā€œI guess you shouldnā€™t change your gloves ā€¦ . ?ā€ On my shifts your gloves get changed, that line gets wiped down with a new cloth, paper under EVERY ITEM for the person with the allergy, bag their food separately to prevent contact. If thereā€™s a risk of cross-contamination with an allergen, like tomatoes in the guac because stuff spills when youā€™re moving as fast as we do, Iā€™ll open a new bag of food. I learned the ingredients in every item we serve so I could advise people on hidden allergens (e.g., thereā€™s a small amount of wheat in our beef as a thickener; we fry with safflower oil). We have a grease pencil to mark special builds and I use it liberally on allergy orders. If all of this sounds like overkill, youā€™ve never watched a child suffer from anaphylaxis. I donā€™t play around.

Like, I bitch about my job a lot, but food allergies and special needs are not something I will ever bitch about. Even if youā€™re a complete asshole I wonā€™t risk contaminating your food. (Although people with allergies seem to be way nicer than the general population, I gotta say.) Donā€™t do it. If someoneā€™s a petty asshole to you, give them too much ice in their drink. Donā€™t play with their health.

DO NOT FUCKING SCROLL PAST THIS P L E A S E

Reblogging this again because it is important. Doing the right thing has no cost but doing the wrong thing can cost a personā€™s life. Donā€™t be a dick, give the person what they ordered

I seriously wonder how these people got their jobs in the hospitality industry. Because they teach about the IMPORTANCE of getting special food orders right BECAUSE of things like this! To the point of even getting specified wait staff to handle special food orders solely to prevent mix ups and such.

Like come on! Itā€™s like the VERY FIRST thing we learn when dealing with food and beverages is FOOD HEALTH AND SAFETY?! Just how can you be such a low life that you decide ā€œyou know what I want you to suffer for my bad dayā€ and deliberately gives the wrong order?! Just why?! What do you get out of it?!Ā

Justā€¦ DONā€™T BE A FUCKING ASSHOLE TO ANYONE WITH ALLERGIES AND SPECIAL DIET NEEDS. ITā€™S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS, JUST DO YOUR FUCKING JOB PROPERLY.Ā

As a Type 1 diabetic who has constantly been given regular coke instead of diet, I am really appreciative of this post. I am lucky enough to have super sensitive taste buds, so with one sip I know whether a soda is diet or not. Still, others are not so lucky and honestly its so freaking dangerous.

I may not have diabetes yet I will reblog this, for THIS IS IMPORTANT! D= When I take orders at my job, even it is something like asking a customer if they want ice with their water, I check, why becauseĀ you are not them, and this tiny thing could have huge consequences.

I rather the taste of diet coke, just rather the taste. Plus, itā€™s better for me with all my health issues even if Iā€™m not a type 1 diabetic.

Do not scroll past this please reblog, Lovelies

Damn pls donā€™t be such a bitch, just do your job right.

Always always always reblog

The amount of people who smirk at me when I tell them Iā€™m allergic to capsicum so no peppers or anything please is fucking annoying

Like no listen its not that I canā€™t handle spice and Iā€™m being silly I WILL LITERALLY HAVE MY THROAT SWELL UP.

Fibromyalgia means Iā€™m sensitive to both dairy and gluten. Sure, this really does make me look like a health-fad white girl when I order gluten-free vegan food butšŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø I have many times had problems with my food however where I have been given cheese or milk or gluten when I was very clear about my order. We know people make mistakes, itā€™s okay, but it is your job to be careful when taking someoneā€™s order.

Above all that too, how about we just respect peopleā€™s decision to consume what they want? Even with no allergy, just be a decent human being and give the white girl a soy latte like she PAID YOU TO MAKE.

I get a sore throat when people cut strawberries near me, let alone eating them. The last time I was really exposed in a big way, I asked the waiter if there was any strawberry in the fruit salad, because I couldnā€™t see any. He assured me there wasnā€™t. Three bites in and i find one on my forkā€¦ ended up with full asthma meds over that one. We were on a cruise so that was super exciting. After that they had me go through ONE waiter only for that kind of thing. We tipped him heavily. When a waiter comes back withĀ ā€œIā€™m sorry, such and such has wheatā€ or whatever, I tip them extra. Honestly. More if they bring out a chef or some such. I know Iā€™m complicated. I donā€™t go out to eat very often. I usually call ahead. And restaurants which expose me to wheat just get taken off the list of restaurants my family can go to.Ā  Mom had a contact allergy to onions and I couldnā€™t begin to tell you how many restaurants would bring out something with onions on it, get told no, and would take it back and take the onions off and then try to pass it off as new. That shit doesnā€™t cut it with allergies. Do not. My kid told me he was allergic to peanuts at age 5, and I was like,Ā ā€œOkay, I havenā€™t seen it, but if you say it makes you feel bad, we can certainly avoid peanuts.ā€

Fastforward two years and he gets an actual bite of something with peanut in it and breaks out in all over hives that require medical intervention. He reacts to cross contamination. Fortunately his school is proactive and heā€™s in a peanut free classroom (and was from the start.)

When someone tells you that a food makes them ill?Ā

LISTEN TO THEM.Ā

So Iā€™m going to address something that hasnā€™t so far been mentioned. And this isnā€™t a cautionary tale for food workers, nor one for people with existing allergies. No, this is a tale for the people without food allergies who claim to have them when ordering.

The wordsĀ ā€œIā€™m allergic toā€¦ā€ andĀ ā€œI donā€™t likeā€¦ā€ are NOT synonymous.

If youā€™re not allergic, donā€™t say you are and then order something else with theĀ ā€œallergenā€ and say itā€™s ok.Ā

Ok, now to explain that line. My motherā€™s a waitress, and several times a week sheā€™ll have somebody order something and tell her to make sure the cooks know to hold an ingredient because theyā€™re allergic (like they make a point of saying theyā€™re allergic), only to have that same person order something else or a side dish later in the meal that has the same ingredient, but in a form that canā€™t be avoided. When she tells them that the second thing ordered has X, they respond withĀ ā€œoh thatā€™s ok, I just donā€™t like it.ā€

That shit causes confusion in the kitchen, and worse, can lead some to not take food allergies seriously

Donā€™t cry allergy wolf. Leave the wordsĀ ā€œIā€™m allergic toā€¦ā€ to people who actually have food allergies. If you just donā€™t like something then use the proper words,Ā ā€œI donā€™t likeā€¦ā€
