actually carly rae jepsen was a genius when she said “before you came into my life i missed you so bad” and everyone who hated on that lyric just wasn’t smart enough to understand
People will watch one of the oldest churches on earth being bombed by i*rael and still celebrate Christmas. They will watch the near extinction of Palestinian Christians and still celebrate Christmas. Christmas celebrations have been cancelled in Bethlehem, but Everyone else will still continue to celebrate Christmas.
my favorite thing about the mystery genre is that we all accept the concept of "world famous detective" without hesitation even though that is absolutely not a real category of celebrity
everyone hates orange until they actually see her in context. "oh it's such an ugly color, too bright!" look at sunsets and autumn, look at campfires and deserts. she's the most beautiful and special part of the scene. now apologize.
mistakes are so normal and human and inevitable and necessary and real. if i make one however please put me to death

HOW TO LOSE A GUY IN 10 DAYS (2003) dir. Donald Petrie
you may think it’s no big deal but every sweet interaction is actually the most important thing in the world. sooo. take that
of course that’s where all this has been heading!!! gene can’t stay out of the spotlight even if it kills him. barry can’t own up to his actions or even understand their consequences. the two of them are going to destroy each other and have been since they first met
there’s just something so fucked about how Barry is clearly espousing a no violence love thy neighbour kindness is key worldview to his son and then makes him sit down to watch children his own age die while their parents scream on the other side of the camera. it always returns to the fact that no matter what Barry says, it’s what he’s done and continues to do that truly defines him
one of the hollywood reporter headlines when sally shows the cousineau article says “uncanny pictures releases teaser for all ai generated feature length film written, created, and produced completely with ai” which feels especially pointed and timely with the writers strike
sally is such a shell of her former self and she's so unhappy and she clings to her son but it doesn't feel right and she's an alcoholic and she almost fucking killed that guy!!!! she's literally watching natalie live her dreams!!!!!
the way that barry literally has main character syndrome to the max this man is so sick in the head. oh lets do this on the swing, because in the movie of my life thats playing in my head, the one that im currently directing and starring in in my mind, this shot will look soo good. this will be such a cinematic moment just me and my son while i lie to him about being a hero. im SICK!!! this is what tiktok "romanticize your own life" does to a mf

roman roy to give the eulogy?
all of the pivotal scenes in this ep were the kids pushing people away to the point that theyre now COMPLETELY alone. they dont even have connor. every scene was them pushing someone away, presumably breaking that relationship permanently, from rava to matsson.
i think romangerri and tomshiv this ep really explicitly stated this. like gerri saying "i couldve gotten you there" is CRAZY because shes literally telling roman that if he had trusted her more + been less weird she would've put him up for ceo. and then shiv accusing tom of only being there for power really put all of their relationships with people into perspective -- they really truly believe that everyone is only there for their money/power, no matter how often someone reassures them otherwise
