the Protolith WIP Intro💃🏾✨

Hi! I'm Alyssa (she/her). I'm a scientist, artist, and writer. I'm a woman of color and bisexual. I write dark fantasy with romance, scifi, and gothic elements. My current and only WIP is The Protolith!

This novel follows Charlotte, a biracial medical student and noblewoman who seeks to bring honor back to her disgraced family. This second world fantasy takes place in a world scarred by an ancient, unexplored meteorite, in an Empire where the traditional theocracy and sexually liberated culture are constantly at odds. Follow Charlotte as she discovers her strange magicks while haunted by past, romantic affairs.

Genre: Adult [18+] Fantasy Nonlinear Romance

Subgenres: gaslamp fantasy, dark academia, forbidden romance

Charlotte spent her nights one of two ways: seducing wealthy men at lavish parties or studying the cardiovascular system of a stolen cadaver. Though she vastly preferred the company of cadavers to men, tonight, Charlotte attended the former.

Setting: Lorenzia, a marble city at the center of the Empire, a theocratic and oligarchic state

Thus far, they haven't had a chance to tell their latest friends-with-benefits, electing instead to sneak out in the dead of morning. Today, however, it could all change.
