Thanking wholeheartedly the talented artist @pilitella for creating this & @indiacater commissioning. It's such a wonderful gift and I feel very honored. I really adore the golden-white wedding theme colors. Thanks for making my (and Alex's) dream come true. My babies deserve each other. Hopefully one day, I will write a fanfic about it since it's hard to imagine Nik getting married, but she changed him. After several challenges and difficulties to face... They'll find each other. It'll be a long journey for her to become his Mrs. Ryder.

"Tell me to get out. Push me away." Lucifer's grip tightened on my back, pulling me even closer against his chest. His warm breath turned ragged against my lips, his voice shaking as he whispered, "Please."

"I can't."

He tilted his head, bringing our lips even closer together. "I shouldn't have come here."

I knew why he acted the way he did when Plague took over. He was protecting me, attempting to stop her from using our love for each other to hurt me, and himself. If you push everyone away they can't be used against you and your attachment to them can't be used as some sick punishment. Knowing didn't stop it from breaking my heart, though.

He had once told me he was sorry if he'd ever hurt me, how he didn't know any other way. But he did. He had proved it to me for ten years.

"But you did," I replied with a relieved smile, just before his lips covered mine.

I commissioned @pilitella​ way back in October for this piece of Liam and Croía from chapter 16 of Vancross. At the time, I hadn’t written the scene, and only bits and pieces were in my head. I had no idea what exactly it was that I wanted as far as the commission, only that I wanted the beginning of this pivotal moment for these two to shine through. So, I explained where they would be, what would be happening leading up to this moment, and what would be happening afterward. I then gave her free rein to come up with what she could to show what I was unable to really express or convey at the time.

And in true @pilitella​ fashion, she absolutely nailed it and blew me away 🥲
