Will there be another holiday exchange this year?

I didn’t see this message, so it’s been sitting around for a long time.  Sorry anon, and to all you kind ficathon followers!

Much as it breaks my heart to say it, the answer is no, probably not.  At this point I’m not sure if I will organize more ficathons in the future.

I’ve loved running the Forever Ficathon more than I can express. It started in Dec 2014 with Henry Morgan’s 7 Drunken Nights, and in that time there’s been 13 ficathons, making a total of 181 stories added to the fandom. In a fandom this small, that’s a significant percentage, and I’m so happy to have facilitated that contribution.

I’ve made some really good friends through the ficathon. Some have become dear friends who I chat with, some have shared dinner with me and my family in my home, or I in theirs, and all that because of this fandom and this ficathon.  It’s been a huge part of my life.

Life has conspired to give me less time for things like fandom, so I’m stepping away for now. I hope I’ll be able to come back to it in the future, but we’ll see.

Thank you to everyone who’s followed this blog, participated in or supported the ficathon. You’re a beautiful bunch of gems, all of you.

Doctor Henry Morgan is, amongst other things, an immigrant - and a change in the rules for permanent residency threatens to reveal his immortality.

Henry has 235 years behind him, and many more to come.  The Klondike Gold Rush, the Paris Modernist era, the USA Anti-War movement—Henry’s seen it all, but we’ve only heard a fraction of the tales he has to tell!  Where has he been, what has he done, and where will he go in the future?  In this ficathon, we tell Henry’s stories before the series, and those yet to come!
