Anyway, if you dislike a fic, you can hit this Dislike Button until the fic goes away. It really is pretty amazing actually.

I think so many people are so deeply alienated from themselves that they have no clue how to exercise their free will and autonomy. For some, this alienation runs so deep that they are afraid of their own autonomy and humanity. It is completely understandable why one would have those feelings, but it can be worrisome.

I want to help others who feel this way, so here are small things I have done to exercise my free will:

I don't want to shame anybody for not feeling as though they have free will or that they are exempt from exercising it. However, I wanted to give ideas so that you might read this list and find your own ways to express your intrinsic autonomy and will. You deserve to be a person, to feel alive, not just living. That is what our lives are for.

Yes this this this! It clicked for me when I watched a video of Sophie doing red carpet interviews when she was up for a grammy. During the course of the usual red carpet banter with Entertainment news personalities, the jackass interviewing Sophie misgendered her! Fucking Sophie Xeon, who was a goddess that positively oozed femininity, was misgendered on live television! That's when I realized that the rare person who still misgenders me at this point, after 4yrs of HRT, is 100% doing it intentionally.

A friend of mine, who has D cups, FFS, and over 6yrs of HRT under her belt, recently got misgendered by a colleague. She was wracking her brain trying to figure it if it was just an honest mistake and what could have tripped him up, "was it my voice? was it the fact I didn't have any makeup on?" and I was like, "hon, no one in their right mind would look at you and actually think you're a guy. Maybe he clocked you as trans, but it's pretty fucking obvious what gender you are going for and still he chose to refer to you as a man. It couldn't possibly be a mistake."

So, remember this folks when it happens to you! Don't bother trying to get into the minds of the cis assholes who misgender you! Trying to figure out what they're thinking is a colossal waste of your time and it will only make your anxiety and dysphoria worse. You have a right right to feel hurt by their callous behavior but don't let it drag you down into sadness, instead allow yourself to feel anger because righteous anger is how you remind yourself of who you are and what you deserve. The problem isn't you the transsexual, it's them and their poisoned cis hearts.

It's really funny to be asexual and have very, very few actors/characters I'm personally physically attracted to while writing porn about those characters. Because the character/ship/fandom tags are all chock full of thirst posts, and clearly the characters I'm writing about are physically attracted to each other, so I kind of have to triangulate what's "sexy" about/for these characters through inference in order to write the attraction/sex without having any actual personal investment in that feeling.

And sometimes I find myself watching scenes or looking up actors' photos online and squinting at them and like trying to figure out "how is this person hot?" and coming away baffled but willing to fake it for the sake of the fic.

And then I make friends in that fandom or get comments on my fic basically thirsting over the characters/scenes I write, and I'm just like, yes, Achievement Unlocked: This (Not-Universal But Common) Human Emotion Has Been Successfully Impersonated, well done me!

It's very strange and very funny, is what I'm saying. I enjoy it a lot.

Because it's intellectually interesting and it makes sense for what I want out of the story, and how people act when they're vulnerable around each other (physically and emotionally) - and how they get to the point where they CAN be vulnerable around each other - is really compelling, and--

5) Vaping is relatively new. Not much studies have been done in comparison to tobacco. Plus, the vaping companies are powerful people. There is a large chance that they are purposely downplaying and even burying any evidence that vaping is harmful - just like the tobacco companies before them. They do not care about you, or your health, or the truth. They only care for money

obsessed with mass market paperbacks. their pleasing rectangular proportions. how they fit badly in a hoodie pocket so you can drag them around everywhere with you like a temporary little buddy. the way they fit in your hand because they're MADE for human hands and not as bookshelf decoration. the way the pages feel when you riffle them gently with your thumb. How pristine and crisp they look when you get them and how creased and folded they look when you're done, even if you try to be nice to them. how that wear is okay, how that's correct actually, because they're made with the philosophy that books aren't meant to be PRETTY, they're meant to be read. that little ripple new ones get on the left side from where you hold them when you're reading, the way the ripple only goes as far as you've read, because u change stories by reading as they are changing you. how you can find thousands of these creased and folded and loved little dudes in every thrift store and used book shop and neighborhood library and you can instantly see the ones that someone carried around in a backpack for weeks or read to pieces or gave up on halfway through because they wear being read like fresh snow wears footprints. I love these poorly made, subpar little rectangles so much. truly the people's books.
