Long few days.

OK. So Friday I went to a charity poker tourney for the Little Red Schoolhouse. It is one of the finest private schools for pre K-8 in Los Angeles. I finished 12th in the event.....of course top 10 got prizes....I went for the gold and played a hand that I felt was the best hand at the time...it was a coin flip in the end and i lost. Bummer. There were some celebs playing. Jennifer Tilly, Phil Laak, Annie Duke and Shannon Elizabeth. Jennifer went out 10th lasting the longest out of that group. On Saturday I can not for the life of me remember what I did. Wait...wait.....it is coming to me. I saw "No country for Old Men" which was fantastic....really great. Then I went to watch the Clippers vs. Bulls at the Staples Center. Honestly, the worst basketball game I have ever watched. Clumsy and boring. I think the NBA has just gone down hill. What happened to players like Larry Bird? Jordan? Magic? I almost fell asleep. Lucky for me I brought to friends of mine Michael and Michael to keep me company. When I got home I think I passed out from exaustion. Sunday I went to a screening of "Juno" at the directors guild. Here is the deal with "Juno"....it will be winning awards in the USA soon. No question. A fantastic film that is this years "Little Miss Sunshine". Mark my words. Jason Reitman who directed (no relation by the way, but we are friends) offered me tickets to see the Lakers Vs. Bulls. I said no, as kindly as I could. I had promised Annie I would stay in...and I also could not stand another crappy game if it happened again.....one NBA stinker a week is my limit. Monday Annie and I flew to Vegas and hung out with a few Congressmen she met in DC when she testified. Me hanging with government officials. That just seems wrong. We were in DC for 7 hours. I have never flown to DC for a purpose other than fun, and I have absolutely never gone for just business.....I hope I never do that again...unless of course I take a Congressman to a club afterwards....I need to work in some fun on a trip like that. All work and no play makes Joey a cranky boy. Today is Tuesday and I am trying to get some work done before the holiday. Making phone calls, thinking and thinking of what to do as a crippled actor and a handcuffed writer during this strike. I have some stuff cooking...and I will let you know as it comes to a head.

Mozza.

Oh......my God. I ate at a restaurant tonight called Mozza in Los Angeles. Mozza is located on the corner of Highland and Melrose. It was amazing. If you ever go there you should know that everything on the menu is amazing! I am still full. Can hardly move. Now I am home watching Real Housewives Of The O.C."....a show that continues to make me ill every time it is on. The chicks on this show are the most shallow people I have ever seen. Be grateful for what you have. Odds are it has much more substance than the O.C..

So there is this strike in Hollywood...for those of you who do not know.... the union on strike is the WGA (Writer's Guild of America)....which leaves me a lot of time to write here....but no where else. This video explains why the strike is happening and why the union is right to strike....and even though it isn't explained in this video....why Michael Eisner is a self absorbed idiot.

Well. Here I am. My first entry into the world of blogging. I don't even know why. All I know for sure is many of my friends have told me I should try to document my life a bit. So far it has been pretty intertesting.....I hope it continues. I don't want to bore the crap out of anybody who reads this. If I do. Sorry.
