[This is a headcanon-heavy canon-compliant indie rp and ask blog of Black Wind/Kuroki Kaze of Final Fantasy: Unlimited, the counterpart to White Cloud/Shiroi Kumo. If you have not watched/read this series, be advised that spoilers will go untagged as FFU is now 20+ years old. Furthermore, a lot of potentially triggering content will be present (tagged as trigger name tw) - I do not tag for mental illness, abuse or gun imagery as these are too plentiful here and if they bother you, this blog is not for you, please take care ^^, I do however tag for blood, gore, body horror, flashing gif/epilepsy to the best of my ability. If you want something else tagged please let me know and I will. Keep in mind my portrayal of Kaze is dark; The gunmage is a morally grey character and not your typical hero. He is generally not a pleasant person to be around and it is important to make the distinction that mun =/= muse.]

He did not mind. There was very little movement on his part, no action to invite but none to deter, either. Allowing the half-reptilian to slither closer, blue-green scales a stark contrast against what parts of the creature remained human.

It was a thing to wonder about, really: whether the chimera knew what he was, or where he came from. A confusing past, something the other had clear difficulties in articulating. No words, at least for now - to give shape to the images in his head.

But he did not mind. The Black Wind, that is. There was no rush, nor compulsion, to access the truth. No point in haste. To find oneself was ever the long journey, and it had to be walked alone.

For now, his warmth was one of the few comforts he could offer. The Demon Gun, host to his heart, a righteous fire ever-burning - drakes and dragons were coldbloods, so it was rather natural for such beasts and their ilk to gravitate towards the biggest source of heat. He allowed the chimera to rest against the shrouded sarcophagus while he maintained a watchful eye on the treeline.

With luck, fatigue would lull the creature to sleep - it was clear he needed it.

[I wish I could make Elden Ring! Kaze taller, since the player model is only about 5'5" tall iirc..? Unfortunately, animations / the whole rig seems to only function properly with the base size.]
