“That's the choice. I love him, with all that, because of all that. On purpose. I love him on purpose.” (insp.)
Sultry Day, 1937, Paul Landacre. American, (1893 - 1963) - Wood engraving -
don’t think skinny ppl (and yes i’m including skinny ppl who think they’re “midsized”) understand how ridiculous they sound when they make up these Fat Activist Bogeymen who are allegedly harassing them for eating a fruit. y’all realize that most fat people have spent our entire lives being harassed and criticized for eating food, especially in public, right? you realize that people feel entitled to approach random fat strangers in public and literally take our food away because they don’t think we deserve it? people we don’t even know will walk right up to us and slap the food right out of our hands, and the rest of the world thinks they’ve done us a favor. and you think we’ll turn around and harass someone else for what they’re eating? like do you realize this scenario you’ve concocted is one massive projection? it’s embarrassing and you should shut the fuck up.
i have vivid memories of my parents pouring my thin sister a large bowl of sugary cereal, and then turning to me and carefully measuring out exactly one fourth of a cup of cheerios. of being sat down at the kitchen counter and told i wasn’t allowed to get up until i’d eaten my plate of salad, despite the fact i’d tried to tell my parents that the texture of the lettuce was distressing because of sensory issues. of ordering food at the food court on a school trip and having a random lady i’d never met before walk up, take my fries, and throw them in the trash right in front of my face, while she left my thin friends’ fries on the table.
do not fucking talk to me about the meanie fat activists telling you to stop moralizing food when most of us have spent a lifetime being dehumanized and deprived of the basic things we need for our body to function by complete strangers.
I don’t wanna get involved in the drama I just wanna know 103% of the information on what happened
