❛ really ? it’s not half bad. are all men that eloquent where you’re from ? ❜ soft hands comb their fingers through her hair, tucking stray locks behind her ear as she finds a more amiable and less flushed composure. she likes moments like these. one where she can catch a glimpse at him — the real boy behind all his walls and fortitudes. the princess finds she could watch him talk for hours just to see the glint in his eye when he spoke of fonder memories. she knows better than to pry. rapunzel knows it isn’t her place,that his past should come to her at his pace, not hers, were he at all willing to share it. it didn’t mean she wasn’t curious ( and oh, how painfully she was ) but he had feel comfortable here – with her. and she could wait. ❛ that sounds amazing. maybe when it snows here we could try it out — if you don’t mind, that is. ❜

he’s a flatterer. kind in ways she isn’t sure she deserves. people have always been nice to her out of duty ( and everyone knows a noble is someone worth sucking up to ) but it’s different with him. he isn’t afraid to tease her or chase her up staircases and out onto sunlit balconies. there is a difference between the want of an action and doing it because the princess asks it of you. she’s always thought herself quite good at telling the DIFFERENCE. ❛ you’re charming. ❜ the tone is a playful mock but her head dips, hides her face behind long golden strands that absorbed the SUN and radiated its warmth. she hides the way it colours her cheeks and tugs lips back into a bashful smile.

there’s something more than a little e n r a p t u r i n g about the blonde. SURE she was the princess ; that was enough GAIN as it were. but there was more than that -- more that he won’t linger on ; for what was there to be gained from lingering on a subject he couldn’t truly allow himself to enjoy ? she was a princess -- he was a servant. limits were put in place for a reason. he’s known that his entire life. but there she is -- basking in the sunlight like she’s entered a room of pure GOLD. ( so maybe his idea of beautiful was a little different than hers. ) he doesn’t note the sun so much as he does the way her silhouette against the sun makes his heart speed up a bit. she WAS the sun -- no competition before him as he found her more enthralling to watch over the rise of the sun. but she’s asking him to sit & he’s obliged to do so, resting on the railing with ease. ❛ i just assumed it was named after YOU. ❜
