It’s easy for you to say that violence and destruction isn’t the answer when there are actually other options and avenues to pursue

but being docile does not help you when you have a gun in your face and a heartless bastard holding the trigger

being peaceful does not help when every word you say has been and will be silenced again and again and again

how long do you want black people to keep trying to be heard, when racists will do everything in their power to silence them?

cars will never be more valuable than the lives of black people

property will never be more valuable than the lives of black people

businesses will never be more valuable than the lives of black people

merchandise will never be more fucking valuable than the lives of black people

material goods can be replaced, black lives cannot

HOW TO DONATE TO BLM WHEN YOU HAVE NO MONEY

a black woman named zoe amira posted a video on youtube. this video is an hour long and filled with art and music from black creators. it has a ton of ads, and in result will rack up a ton of revenue. 100% of the ad revenue from the video will be dispersed between various blm organizations, including bail-out funds for protesters. it will be split between the following, dependent on necessity

  1. brooklyn bail fund
  2. minnesota freedom fund
  3. atlanta action network
  4. columbus freedom fund
  5. louisville community bail fund
  6. chicago bond
  7. black visions collective
  8. richmond community bail fund
  9. the bail project inc
  10. nw com bail fund
  11. philadelphia bail fund
  12. the korchhinski-parquet family gofundme
  13. george floyd’s family gofundme
  14. blacklivesmatter.com
  15. reclaim the block
  16. aclu
turn off your adblocker and do not skip ads. between each time watch 3-5 other videos (mix it up) before restarting. this will ensure you aren’t marked as spam by youtube. mute the tab if you need to focus elsewhere but don’t mute the video itself. and let. it. play.
youtube will donate to blm for you.

please, please reblog. for people who don’t have money to spare, this is incredibly important information to have.

I’m not tagging any of what I reblogged or posted today “non-sims”. I understand what it’s like to want to find a place to escape, to find a place where the world and all its ugliness can’t reach you. But my man pointed out to me that for us as black people? There is no “safe space”. I also told this to one of my dearest friends and mutuals today. There is no safe space in this country for a black person. I could be typing this message on Tumblr, or posting my story or sharing my CC and be murdered by cops in the next few minutes, in my little “safe space”. Sound absurd? That’s what happened to Bothem Jean, sitting in his own apartment, eating ice cream.

Unfollow me if my outrage is such that I don’t want to hide behind “nonsims” tags today.

hi everyone!

wow. this week has been really difficult. minneapolis is my home…and to see the events that are occurring there from afar have made me feel so powerless. so please, i really implore you help out the people there! i’ve seen many posts with links, but i wanted to make my own seeing as i grew up in minnesota, and feel it is my responsibility to say something about the horrific things that are happening there.

Here’s a link to help the small businesses that were damaged!

please donate if you can, if not, share with your friends!
