In between alien abductions, the Stikkelsbærs also experienced their first ever home invasion [no footage found] — an event I was more than happy to leave Ingrid's devices, at least until the cops showed up and I realized...

As Astrid's eyes brightened at the sight of the authorities... Authorities who could, ostensibly, save her from the heinous crimes [no footage found] perpetrated upon her by her clone mother, and the bad breath and never-ending fart jokes spewn from the mouths of her clone brothers...

This was in fact the day that our gen 2 heir realized she backed the freakin' blue. ✋🏻😣

Ingrid and the children moved back "home" to Nordhaven and a new save for the summer to escape some unwanted heat from the feds for unethical sim cloning research and the near-constant alien abductions and subsequent simulation freezes that were interrupting Ingrid's work — and, far more importantly, her beauty sleep.

Unfortunately, Sixam must be monitoring the family's movements because the abductions didn't stop there. But after a few dozen more post-abduction freezes I was able to identify the culprit: an eye shine remover I had missed the most recent update for. 😑

I won't lie, I am still feeling SO MID on Dawson. There is a vision (and I swear we are getting there with maxing herbalism and moving on to fun with fizzing!) but also it's not the most fun thing to play through from Dawson's perspective, if that makes sense...?

maybe definitely in spite of inspired by conversations re: rules and requirements for unlocking small businesses in the BACC, I decided to go ahead and use the final dwindling hours of Dawson's rotation to experiment with setting up a new home business: a kickboxing gym and trading outpost for herbal remedies and wellness supplements (aka what he's been up to for years now). And the green Get to Work shelves that have been cluttering up the place since time immemorial actually work as selling surfaces!

The only (official) unlock for Gym lots is reaching Level 10 of the Bodybuilder career, which I can't see fitting into a post-apocalypse story setting... so I'm not inclined to consider this cheating

After some fine-tuning with Kuttoe's home regions and everything seems to be going according to plan — or at least it was until Cora's nemesis decided to show up. 👀

I think Cora felt a tiny bit betrayed — on her and Jagger's behalf — that Dawson would train Mya regardless (after what they gave Jagger for the secret Santa gift exchange?!) buuuuut it's Dawson we're talking about here. The man chooses to walk around with the emotional depth of a teaspoon.

And business is booming!

I didn't see this coming, but thanks to the power of mentorship (and the ability to request it from others!), Dawson cleared level 10 Charisma!

The key to success was clearly posting up in the welcome center bathroom (sorry to anyone looking to use the facilities) while Cora promoted herbal remedies and elderberry tonics to passers by. The other New Promisers who happened to stop by were more than happy to help Dawson out to escape the sales pitch. 😅

It's been all about Herbalism for so long, but Fizzing is Dawson's passion project — creating deliciously drinkable tonics and elixirs with the same vitality-boosting ingredients used in his herbal home remedies.

Those remedies do the community a lot of good, but medicine is something you need when you need, and don't when you don't... But a herbal health tonic? Something to consume on the regular for its cumulative, holistic benefits that goes down real easy?

You could really stand to profit from a hustle like that 👀 ...in whatever way that means in a cashless, barter-driven society.

I'd say it was made for her creative self-expression makeup era but oh my god the built-in nose blush / highlighter was a choice 😬

I do think it works okay with the opacity dropped down a smidge but is intersectional cas design too much to ask?

It's almost the end of the year (and somehow Dawson's rotation!) and winter decided to do her big one. It's a snowstorm out there and in here, thanks to the weather indoors bug 😅 and if there's a better excuse to snuggle up for a nap, I'd like to hear it.

Is fishing fun? It depends who's asking, I guess, but at least it's one thing three sims can do together 🤷🏼‍♀️
