Tonight my family wanted to grab a couple of red box movies so I ran to the nearby has station and I got there and kid a couple years younger than me was returning some movies she was wearing Christmas styles pjs and a bright yellow car was parked behind her

in the car was a pitbull mix that was just whining and every couple seconds the girl would say it's okay T-bird I will be right back

eventually she noticed me watching and she just smiled and explained that the dog was having a lot of anxiety because the sister wasn't home and the dog was really attached to her sister

then she made a face and quietly said shoot I'm over sharing do you just want to pet my dog so I did

After she returned the movies she just left and it was just such a weird experience that I am not entirely sure that it really happened

Sammie is the only one Mel had a decent first meeting with

Mel likes shiny objects and Sammie, tired of finding boxes ripped open and items missing, lured her into a trap by leaving out a pair of earrings which Mel fell for.

Sammie never had any ill intentions, she just wanted to talk to the tiny creature she seen and ask them to PLEASE stop tearing open boxes, it’s attracting bugs!!!

Mel agrees.

Watching this made me physically feel like I’d just been chasing someone with answers for a quest through a series of alleys and they went through a door into a house and when I opened the same door to pursue them it was pitch black and I stumbled into the darkness for a moment before this guy appeared and I saw this video in a vision he gave me with his powers and when it ended I was standing alone in an empty room, my target long gone.

I reblog this every time I see it, because the part that makes this so horrific to me, is that the room is a direct callback to Goodnight Moon. It takes this memory of safety and security and turns it directly upside down and I love it.

hey so Emily Carroll is my absolute favorite horror artist and her stories are some of the greatest things i’ve ever had the ghastly pleasure to read. many of her comics are free online, such as the classic His Face All Red

Consciousness is slow coming, light shining down and warming your face as you lay on your back on the floor.

With a groan, you roll over, feeling the surface below you give way. You open your eyes to gain your bearings.

The floor beneath you is dirt. To your left, a giant stone structure. To your right, some kind of plant that towers far above you.

What do you do next?

>Examine the structure (⚠️)

>Examine the plant (🌱)

>Examine the structure(⚠️)

Pushing up from the floor, you dust yourself off. Now that your eyes have better adjusted to the glaring sun, you make your way to the looming structure.

Placing your hands against the warm surface, it’s apparent that this isn’t a building. Nor is it regular stone.

What stands before you is made of concrete and is cut in a way that resembles stairs.

But.. thats impossible you think, stairs arent usually bigger than you. And where theres stairs.. theres usually an entrance. And, there is.

A.. rather large one..

You take a few steps back and crane your neck upwards. Towering even higher above is what looks like a house, the door alone larger than anything you’ve ever seen.

Where are you? Why is everything so big? Neither questions you have an answer to.

What do you do next?

>Attempt To Climb The Stairs(🔝)

>Go Back(🔙)

>Attempt To Climb The Stairs (🔝)

With a last glance backward, you break into a light jog to the first and lowest step to begin your ascent.

The first stair is level with your nose, something youre glad to realize. Crossing your arms against the warm cement, you hoist yourself up a total of 5 steps.

By the time you get up the last step, your arms a little red and kind of sore. Maybe you could have made some sort of arm guard if you’d gone back to that plant…

You role over onto your back. As you look around the small porch, you notice the door towering above you and two potted plants on either side.

What do you do?

>Rest for a while(😪)

>Examine the Door(🏠)

>Examine the Pots(🔎)

>Rest For A While(😪)

You roll your head back to stare straight upwards, letting a sigh pass your lips as you lay there.

A little rest couldnt hurt.. right?

You let your eyes slip closed, taking a deep breath as you stay limp against the cement.

Unbeknownst to you, time passes far faster than you anticipated as you lay there.

When you open your eyes, its to the ground trembling under you. You hear a distant rumble steadily getting closer. Maybe resting hadn’t been to best idea while you were out in the open..

Quick! What do you do?!

>Stay Still(🚷)

>Run for the Potted Plants(🌿)

>Run for the Door(🆙️)

[An Authors Note: p l z reply to the post as a comment or reblog thanks]

>Run for the Potted Plants(🌿)

Rolling over onto your stomach and scrambling towards the potted plants beside the door, you only spare a single glance backward.

A man a hundred times your size is walking towards the porch. He has mail in his hands, too focused on that to even notice you as you slip behind the orange ceramic pot.

A shiver runs down your spine as you watch the spot you were just in be stepped right over, silently glad you ran for a safe hiding spot.

You watch the man stop in front of the door, peering up at his face between the fronds of the giant plant. He places the mail between his teeth, as he fiddles with his keys to open the door.

You examine his features, his overall appearance in the brief safety you’ve acquired. His shirt is grey, a pattern that reminds you of static, paired with black skinny jeans. His hair is brown at the sides, the top, dyed a faint yellowish green, peeks out from under a grey and red cap.

A vague sense of familiarity overcomes you. If only you could remember anything concrete before waking up outside and that things aren’t usually this massive… maybe you know him, or have seen him around..

You bite your lip as you watch him nudge open the door. Thinking on your next move.

Should you run in through the door right behind him? Or stay outside and find another way in? Hurry.. the air feels heavy, it may rain soon..

>Run in behind him (👣)

>Find another way(↪)

[Authors Note: i am so sorry this took so long rip]

>Run in behind (👣)

Bouncing anxiously on your heels, you wait for the moment the looming man is mostly inside the house. The door is propped open for a moment longer than necessary as the man idly flips through the mail, as a quick glance up reveals.

And that’s when you run.

You can hear your blood racing in your ears as you swiftly dash inside and directly under a couch, praying to whatever deity may be listening that he didn’t notice.

You slow to a stop far enough under the couch as to not be seen, trying to catch your breath. You lean forward, hands on your knees as you focus on calming down. You can still hear the thundering in your ears, even as it starts to subside.

You take note that the man still stands in the doorway, the soft shuffle of papers indicating that he, in fact, did not notice your entrance. You slump forward against your knees with a shaky sigh of relief.

Ok. So.. a giant man with giant mail.. which means there’s more than just one giant and a whole giant mail system.. oh god you think you’re going to be sick..

Breath. You remind yourself to breath as you take a cursory glance to the front of the couch and the fabric that makes the bottom of it. There seems to be a bit of wear, the see through-ish fabric dangling in some places.

What do you do now?

>Peek at the rest of the room (👁)

>Rest a while (⛺)

>Check out the tears in the couch (🛋)

Recommendation: All The Kids Are Depressed by Jeremy Zucker

The song is upbeat, pop and relatively catchy. Despite the rather depressing lyrics and undertone, it’s actually a pretty happy song, which is probably why so many who listen to it call it the Gen Z anthem. It’s a reflection of a resigned, darkly humorous acknowledgement of this generation’s mental state. Have a listen.

ITS SO GOOD

Avatar

Gods are manifestations of groups of like minds; “Atheis” has just come into existence and arrives on Earth trying to inspire her ‘followers’.

I sit here picking at the plaster on the wall. I exist now, that much I know. I am everything they don’t believe in. They don’t believe in anything. That is all that unites them. Nothing else. They don’t even believe in organization. That’s what separates them from the humanists and the spiritualists and the agnostics. Here and there they find each other but for the most part nothing unites them. Not even a shared moral code. Not even all of them believe in science.

How do you inspire a group like that? Some of them see the lack of supernatural things in the universe as a comfort. Others see it as depressing. Some don’t care. Some fear death and some don’t. I can feel all their lives. They are all too different for me. They can’t agree completely on anything except that the universe exists on its own.

I stand up and wrap my jacket closer to my new body. I look down at my new hands, thin and brown. They are the mixture of all of them. The average of the atheists. What do they believe in? What do I believe in? Am I a god, really? No.

They created what they believe in. The thing that they all agree is real. Not a god or a demigod or a spirit or an all powerful force or an organization that tells you what to do. They created a human. I am Atheis. I am Atheis. I have a mind and I will use it. I will affirm what they believe for it is all that I am. That this is the only life and that nature has no mind. I am not a god. I am a human with an idea and I have decided that you will hear me.

Shit dude
