And the illustration of Randy Dennis I made for the Blaseball Fatshion Zine! I'm really happy with how she turned out :)
hey these are some tips for some of the little details in drawing fat folks that some people might not know!
everyone has fat on their bodies so its a worthwhile skill to have, but most art tutorials leave it out. heres some other good tips from artists!!
Also, please don't forget to draw fat necks. When I search for fat art, oftentimes the lack of a fat neck makes a character not look fat anymore because the artist basically just drew a skinny person from the shoulders up.
A resource I suggest is fatphotoref. You can also look at fat positive blogs for tons of photos and drawings that can help you learn how fat bodies look in different poses. Tags you can search on this blog include fat art, fatshion, fat athletes, and fat masc. Those tags are probably the best if you're wanting to use fatphobiabusters for pictures to help you learn how to draw fat people. Another tip I have heard a fat artist mention before is if you are fat yourself, use yourself as a reference photo. I hope this helps!

Hi! This is a screenshot of the website:
Near the bottom of the website is text that tells the reader a password is required to see the photos the website holds (this is to protect the fat models showcased by fatphotoref from being abused by fatphobes). The next sentence says "Click Here," which is hyperlinked text that will take the person to a Google Form that the owner of the website uses to vet who will be allowed a password. I've put a red box and a purple arrow around the text (This isn't sarcastic. This is just to make the marker easier to see).
@fugitiverabbit is the owner of the website as well as a fat artist herself. If anyone continues to have difficulties with the process, I'm sure she can help.

Runner of fatphoto ref here! Just wanted to say sorry y'all I'm super behind on access requests, I try to vet everyone and it takes a lot of time and my mental health has been garbage lately. If you're waiting I'm so sorry and I'm going to get back to everyone as soon as I can 😭

kinda thinking about an actual fem clark now
btw when i was first getting diagnosed w my Problems i made a post about how my doctor had been focusing on my weight a disproportionate amount and that got posted on r/fatlogic (the person who put it there sent me the link on anon) and there was a skinny chronically ill person in the comments like That persons issues arent real because their fat IM valid in my suffering because im skinny dont think badly of us just because there are ‘fakers’ (fat people) and i think about that comment every day and i think about how weight loss is such a huge goal in the generalized chronic illness community and i think about how my pain has been caused by an infection and also genetics and i get very sad. skinny chronically ill people i am BEGGING YOU to PLEASE not throw fat people under the bus. please. being chroncially ill and disabled while fat is made incredibly more difficult not just by the bias of doctors and the medical system as a whole but the chronic illness community itself
fat wlw, you are fucking gorgeous and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise

if the idea of 'fat people are hot' makes you so agonizingly uncomfortable that you have to pop up with 'fetishization' or 'glorifying' or 'not everyone--' please consider that your discomfort with my fat body being hot is a You Problem and i am not interested
That person the other day who said they love seeing photos of thin people holding up 3XL jeans to show all of the "hard work" they put into living "the life they want," there's so much I could say about that.
I could explain that any fat person you see has almost certainly put in that same amount of "hard work" to become thin and then watched as their body refused to stay that way.
I could explain basic, unbiased weight science proving that weight loss is only temporary for the 4 millionth time.
I could explain that fat people are human beings who deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and humanity, again for the 4 millionth time.
I could explain and explain and explain, but I'm tired of explaining to people who don't listen and pull their views out of their ass. So instead, I think we should applaud photos of fat people holding up the jeans they temporarily wore as a thin person.
Let's celebrate the fat people who once were a size small. Let fat people hold up their old tiny jeans in celebration of:

Thanks for reminding me that being ok with my body that PCOS has given me is ok.
The lengths I had to go through to lose weight....I literally stopped eating.
I ate 1 meal every 2-3 days. I walked more than four hours a day, everyday.
Now...I just want to accept that I'm alive, I don't have to be miserable, and I'm not hurting anyone else with my size.
As a fellow person with PCOS, you never deserved to abuse your body into thinness. Your fat body is not a crime, a shame, nor any other bullshit that this fatphobic world has tried to make you believe. Your body is morally neutral and always has been. And the day you start living your life as a fat person rather than as a soon-to-be thin person is the day you not only help yourself, but you also help other fat people who needed you to take the first step before they could too.

Made my boy some character art bc I'm actually gonna be playing him soon!!
(+ Bonus - rearranged things to make myself phone lockscreens hehe)
i have been trying to take more agency in my fashion as a fat guy and I am so grateful for the stuff you share!!
Thank you! I'm glad you've been enjoying the posts we share. It's sadly very difficult to find fat masc posts, so I appreciate all of the people who post photos of themselves or draw fat masc people! Tumblr needs more of that representation. Most of the time, I feel like I have to ration the posts I've queued of fat men and fat mascs. If anyone sees a post of fat masculinity, I appreciate you throwing it our way!

Well, this is messed up.
(Also check out The Practical Kitchen if you feel so inclined, they’re a fun food blog. This is not spon-con, I just really like their vegan samosa pie recipe.)
