I think the thing that really grips me with TAD music is the way their lyrics mix together some of the most beautiful mythological imagery with incredibly real domestic moments.

Like the way they construct lyrics that provide a sense of fantasy and escapism and yet their songs feel so incredibly grounded with mentions of (often somewhat mundane) every day moments and very real human things.

It’s just incredibly visceral and compelling to me.

Police: *leading sex workers into a squad car to be taken to jail*

heres my daily jaskier is not just comic relief and he is part of the family and he is a flawed character whos simply trying to do his best and people should give him a break and i love him so much post

i don’t know why the show always says that Jaskier Can’t Fight. he’s not participating in fist fights, yes, because he doesn’t want to hurt his hands, but i’m sure he’s good at using random objects as weapons. a tankard? hell yeah, i’m canceling your teeth, bastard! a chair? nevermind sir, you’re concussed now. a dagger? a bottle? anything that is sharp? stay away, bitches, i’m feral, fast and talented! he will 100% kick his opponent in the balls if necessary (and apologize right after, running away). 

((also don’t tell me he didn’t learn something from geralt. just… don’t. jaskier KNOWS how to fight))

also, as a man from a noble family he surely had some formal training in battle when he was younger? 

Maybe he didn’t pay much attention. Maybe he tried to scape from it in favor of other things (reading, practicing playing an instrument), but he must have learned some things.
