Hey there folks, long time no talk! Been a long time since I logged in here. Well, regardless, this is just a reminder that Parsee’s muse is technically still kicking at @outsidercocktail, though what’s new is that it now follows back from @fluffghostrp.
I think I’m in a better mental state to handle her on occasion now, so folks who want to pester Parsee can do so there. Don’t be alarmed if I go through any old followers here and follow some folks back.

I am HORRIBLY inactive on this blog, like... i’m perma low-activity/semi-hiatus/actual-hiatus. And despite times where Parsee’s muse pops up and says hello on me, she’s definitely not consistent enough for me to say i’m going to be active on here.
SO! For peeps who enjoy interacting with me, or just reading my stuff, I can also be found over at these blogs here:
maeriiberii (touhou) corvidmagicae (pokemon oc) missbelling (touhou) galebullet (touhou)
i’m also at deceitfulupriising, albeit with the same amount of non-existent activity.
Parsee’s had a good run, and i have more muse elsewhere, so i can confidently say i can put her down satisfied with the work i’ve put into her.  I’ll still peek in on this blog once in a blue moon to reply to any drafts which might’ve come back my way, but consider this blog actually basically archived.
And if I come back and say i’m off hiatus in like two months? Then hit me with something, because Parsee is lying to me and should stay down.

Truth be told, Eiki wasn’t even planning to pay a visit to the Former Hell anytime soon, much less today. Were it not for a specific request to investigate further into some alleged corruption that had been taking place, she would have simply left the place alone.
Not even moments in and she was already being ambushed. But, this wasn’t the threat she needed to investigate – it would have been too simple to end just here.
After a long exhale, she brushes off such an apology, reflex leading her into a lecture. “Ever the wary guide you are, you are baring your fangs so soon, though. If you are too hasty, even you will be swallowed by your own regrets.”
image
“As for myself, sometimes plans change, and sometimes they simply materialize out of thin air. I trust you will do your best to guide me across here.”

Parsee can’t say much about the inner workings of the bureaucracy - a bridge guard wouldn’t be privy to those sorts of secrets, no matter how nosy that bridge guard may be. Satori, though, is the one to ask about things like that.

Still, nosy is Parsee’s disposition, and she is nothing short of curious.

‘Plans changed’, hm? What a vague answer. Here with a purpose, but one that clearly wasn’t meant to be shared with her.

“It’s a bit to late to worry about my regrets, isn’t it?”

Is her sheer existence not built out of them?  What’s a few more added to the pile? It’s not her fault for baring her fangs without provocation, not when those that approached her bridge so often chose to disrespect her anyways. If anything, they should come to expect this sort of outcome.

“I highly doubt you of all people actually need my assistance, or my permission to cross. But I have little other purpose, so i’ll do my best.”

Should she consider taking the yama’s words to heart? It would be a good idea, really.

Would she? Oh, of course not. A bit too bitter, for that.

“Just be sure to go around the city - not through it. The oni are prone to dragging visitors into their partying.”

There’s a light ‘tsking’ noise being made beneath the Hashihime’s breath, one of her ears twitching slightly in annoyance. But she’s turning on her heel to lead the other across the crossing. Not a difficult task, certainly - but the span adjusted to the soul, after all.

Given the two currently on it, what kind of walk would it be?

A moment of clarity: Parsee is treated as a youkai within the series because she was sealed away underground for so long. By the time Kanako broke the seal and treaty, no-one (at least in gensokyo) could remember what she was.
Any following as a deity she may have is purely through outside world worshipers, and given their declining state, she's barely got any following left.
Not that people in gensokyo know that. They don't worship Hashihime, so they wouldn't have any reason to see her as a deity. Any worshipers in Gensokyo that she would have certainly wouldn't do so openly, so no-one there is going to consider her a deity at all.

1. What does their bedroom look like?

Simple. Her ‘house’ is essentially located in the little road-side shrine, which can be found on her bridge’s San-No-Ma. It’s interior is effectively a one-room tatami-floored living space, and it’s decorated accordingly. There is a bed roll of course, and any other necessary furniture needed for a small living space like that. But for the most part, anything else that resides within it exists because it was an offering graciously left by by passers looking for her favor.

Most of these offerings are perishable (food, etc), and thus don’t count as furnishings. But she does have a box full of nonperishable offerings. Most noticeably a box full of scissors.

Lack of worshippers and varied offerings means that overall, it’s fairly barren.

15. Biggest and smallest short term goal?16. Biggest and smallest long term goal?

So… funny story. She doesn’t have ‘goals’ anymore. She actually kinda can’t have goals. She’s bound to her bridge - no matter what she might plan for, she’s not going to be able to leave it. And she’s never going to be able to leave it on her own accord, or by any amount of feat she’s going to be able to pull off. It’s simply not possible - the conditions of her punishment are either a) her husband returning for her (which can’t be done, since he’s dead), or b) until she no longer needs to serve as an example for why you don’t act out of jealousy, or try to get revenge on your own terms. Either way, it’s a vague timeframe, and in the end, there’s no actual end. She’s stuck there until she’s dismissed, and there’s no plans to do that. This is her life now.

No point in planning for the future if you, quite literally, don’t have a future. She can only hope that one day she’s allowed to pass on, but she works for the guys who actually dictate that. Whenever that will be is entirely out of her hands.

22. Given a blank piece of paper, a pencil, and nothing to do, what would happen?

She’d write. Hard to say what exactly, but she’d write.Might be poetry. Might be a journal entry. Might just be angry words over and over and over again, to be picked up by some poor sap later. She’s got little else to do otherwise, aside from watch for (almost non-existent) visitors, so she might as well make use of it.

28. Who do they see as their best friend? Their worst enemy?

Best friend? No-one. No-one would willingly hang out with her, without some sort of ulterior motive (or extremely misguided motive), and she wouldn’t trust anyone remotely enough to consider them a ‘friend’. Even the ones she’s on ‘friendly’ terms with are technically superiors of hers in Hell’s hierarchy, and not true friends. Before her entire ‘becoming a youkai’ fiasco, though, certainly her husband.

Worst enemy? Literally everyone else, for the exact same reasons.Same case with her husband. Parsee can and will try to drown his departed spirit in a vat of boiling oil in Hell’s lower levels, if given the chance.

31. Most prized possession?

She doesn’t really have anything from her previous life left, aside from her memories. And she can’t quite say she enjoys having them. It’s pretty appropriate to say that her only actual possession is the bridge that she guards.

So that would effectively be her most prized possession. But it’s not one she holds any pride over. More that it’s prized because it’s her only true possession, and it’s her job to take care of it.

49. If this person were to get into a fist fight, what is their fighting style like?

While Parsee is very much a magic-based and long-range sort of character, if forced into close combat, she’s very much a hit and run type of person. Avoid blows, and strike out with her claws, then dodge out of range - whether it be by flight, or teleportation.

She doesn’t hold back, either. She’ll go straight for places where it’s going to hurt, and hurt the most. Back of the knees, Achilles tendon, neck and throat, eyes. Anywhere that will actively - or permanently - disable anyone trying to attack her, and prevent them from starting up another attack. Her claws are sharp enough to rend flesh, and she’s not afraid to use them.

She can and will aim to kill - not to win. She will take you down with her, if it seems like she’s at a disadvantage and will lose. She can and will steer you over the bridge railing, and outright try to drown you in her river instead.

That’s basically her go-to, if she can’t use her normal fighting style.

But overall, she’s much more of a magic-based fighter, and prefers staying at a range, and attacking with traps that she’s laid down to push others back.

39. what recharges you when you’re feeling drained?

Peace and quiet, primarily. There’s a reason she’s out in the middle of nowhere, though that also comes with the downside of being driven bonkers from lack of social activity - she still used to be human, as such she’s a social creature and being separated from others affects her greatly.

But overall, getting away from everyone helps her out immensely.

Also the murder of whoever was causing her to feel drained, if there was someone causing it. That’s a lovely mood booster, and good at making her feel much, much better.
