craig berube’s comments tonight on nazem kadri’s supposed “reputation” are incredibly dangerous. equating someone’s notoriety (which is defined out of their control) with every subsequent action is offensive. it’s been two hours since the game ended and there are already many comments calling for violence against kadri on his instagram. i’m seriously worried about his well-being and hope the avalanche will defend him from all of this disgusting hate. all naz wants to do is play the game.

if you haven’t already, i really recommend reading both articles linked below, one written by himself, the other outlining his move to colorado with quotes from him and his wife. he knows more than anyone how important his role is in the playoffs, and he is truly seeking to never cross that line again. there was absolutely no ill intentions in tonight’s run into binnington.

Cleaning out your closet turned out to be more time and effort than you initially anticipated, trying to consolidate everything into a few boxes and donating as much as you could that you no longer had a use for. You were moving in with your boyfriend, excited to get a new place with the guy you were in love with. The things in your room, your clothing and other trinkets and shit, were the only things you really had to move, thankful that he already owned everything else you would have needed.

For the most part, sorting through everything was easy; keep the clothing you knew you wore, donate the things that haven’t come out of your closet in the last year or two, and then keep anything in a box that was too sentimental to give away.

an: this fic is for the summer fic exchange 2k21! i had the utmost pleasure of writing this piece for the organizer herself, demi, aka @antoineroussel. i’ve never done anything like this and it was really fun to partake and truly felt a little more creative and excited to write for this fic exchange, especially with how organized it was!

He couldn’t stop replaying that last conversation in his head.

Two weeks after the fact and it was all he could think about.

“If you go, we’re done.”

Her hand paused in the bowl on the table console that was filled with everyone else’s car keys who chose to drive. As she turned around and looked at him, her brows furrowed as her eyes gauged the seriousness in his tone. “Go where? Home or London?”

“I don’t care, both.” He shrugged, shaking his head.

“Fine. Then I guess we’re done.”

Two weeks after the fact and it was all Tyson could think about– she was all Tyson could think about. Though, when was he never not thinking about her in the eighteen years he’s known her?

Clementine Blake had stumbled into his life the same way she stumbled out of it– with a frown on her face and hurt in her eyes. The only difference was that this time, Tyson was the reason for the hurt that shined in her brown eyes. Brown eyes that he could find himself enamored with for hours if possible. In the sunlight, when the light hit just right, it was like they turned into a golden honey shade. And in the winter months, when the weather was cold, they reminded him of the hot chocolate his Mom used to make him and Kacey on Christmas Eve, that deep chocolate brown that could provide him with a sense of warmth with just one glance.

Brown eyes that with four simple words, he had pushed out of his life forever.

I'm not surprised to learn that Matthew played the season with multiple injuries, and that he wasn't even healed from the concussion he suffered in the game against the Stars. But I'm definitely pissed off to see how this team treated him like shit. And then I remember M*lan L*cic's audacity to call him selfish for saying he was disappointed that he didn't have more ice time to help the team, and the only thing I want is to punch him, and every fucking "leader" of this team.
