If you’re going to dislike Mailin, dislike her for her behaviors and personality, not her being a ‘plain white girl’ or saying she’s unattractive. Thats really gross. Its not a valid reason to dislike a character and it’s also insulting to the actress who can’t control being white or unattractive (which I don’t agree with, I find Frida beautiful) how juvenile. The attacks on Mailin were reasonable at first but now it’s getting vicious and personal (towards the actress) can you all just stop acting so childish please?

Here is my skam France rant:

My annoyance continues to grow, for once I’m actually on the side of writers/directors for a show. All y’all are mad at this season and saying it sucked only because you didn’t get what you wanted. I try to keep an open mind for criticisms but I haven’t really seen any valid complaints/arguments outside of the Mayla whiners. If Mayla was end game, you all would say it was an amazing season but since they didn’t end up together, now it’s terrible. Gross.

As a Mayla stan, I thought it was a beautiful season that was reflective of a personal struggle I, myself, have been dealing with. This season was hard to watch for the simple fact that I’ve related to Maya so much when it came to the angry outbursts, panic attacks and heartache. Her healing journey towards the end makes sense and it’s realistic to see that not everything ends in rainbows and sunshine but you smile through it anyway. Be happy that Maya in the end over came her time of darkness and is smiling again.

Also, I’ll voice again my disgust for Mayla Stan’s how they’ve treated June. I don’t want to make it about race but I find it hella sus how when a poc comes into the mix, there is all this outrage and weird shade that just didn’t make any sense given how June did NOTHING WRONG AT ALL. It makes my blood boil to see women of color treated this way—Maya herself is a poc but tbh she is white passing. I want to see more poc love couples be more celebrated! ITS BEAUTIFUL TO SEE. So like, I dunno, I love Lola, don’t get me wrong but something tells me that if the love interest was a conventionally attractive poc female, (making the pairing with Maya fully poc couple) y’all wouldn’t have given Mayla not as nearly as much hype as they have now, I bet my life on that one (since the backlash against June and Maya was so strong).

Anyways, that was my two cents. Skam France Stan’s are irky as fuck, I’m going back to my Druck bubble. Duces. 🤙🏽

The fandom will always remain raggedy in my eyes for the disgusting way they’ve treated June, a beautiful woman of color, just because they want Mayla endgame. June didn’t deserve any of the hate AT ALL. This is mainly directed at the Twitter Stan’s since they’ve targeted her the most—so damn hateful. Y’all mad childish and need to touch some grass. Don’t disrespect a character who has only uplifted our main when she was in a time of darkness. The continued disrespectful comments like addressing her by a different month or implying she isn’t good enough for Maya like Lola—grow the hell up.

The problem with me is, I actually like June, she’s a beautiful black queen who is putting a smile on Maya’s face while Maya’s mental health is spiraling out of control. I’m not going to pretend to hate her just because I want Mayla endgame (which I do) We are seeing Maya be a little healthier with someone other than Lola—doesn’t mean the entire season is nuked. Season 9 of skamfr is about Maya not Mayla. Let’s not forget this.
