“I’ve been standing at the edge of the water ‘Long as I can remember,

never really knowing why

I  always come back to the water,

no matter how hard I try “

First try on making bubbles……not really happy with it.

This is the shit I get when I try to practice the male anatomy. I end up making a stupid comic strip. Still had fun though.

I noticed a visual parallel between these shots in Strange Magic

The first is the famous “I’m stronger alone”, “I don’t want you to be alone” scene between Marianne and her father, King Dagda, followed by her even more famous line, “If I find a guy out there who takes my hand, and looks me in the eye, and I don’t want to hit him, I’ll consider it.” She’s sparring with her handmaidens at sunset when this scene takes place, nearly mid-movie.

The second shot is at sunrise the next morning, after she and the Bog King have met and fought and fallen in love. They are being blatantly encouraged (in song! because it’s a musical) by their subjects - especially his mother and her sister - to get together.

Each image is of a man looking up at her, wondering if she can be persuaded to give love a chance again.

Note her more vulnerable body language in the second screenshot. Despite having punched Bog in the face when she first met him (while he was kidnapping her sister; long story), she’s considering it.

(Then this happens.)
