there’s something very dystopian like at the fact that we’re all supposed to continue on with our lives, go to work/school, carry on with our daily routines like we’re not witnessing three countries (sudan, congo & palestine) go through a genocide and mass ethnic cleansing right now all through our mobile phones & the internet

All of us working on the stage show were very influenced by the movie. The story, the style, the look all found their inspiration there. My job as designer was to capture its energy, as well as tell the story that John Logan wrote in his script. I’ve tried to pay homage to a few favorite visuals from the movie, and at the same time, make this production feel surprising and new. - Derek McLane, set designer

Les Miserables + Zombies: A Whole New Reason for a Barricade Happy Halloween! Enjolras takes on the National Guard zombies while little zombie Gavroche climbs up the barricade below, meanwhile the dying Eponine shows off her zombie bite to Marius and Grantaire fights off the recently turned Bahorel with a wine bottle.
So happy to finally be posting this illustration after keeping the sketch in my drafts for 7 years! I wanted so badly to finish this illustration but at the time I didn't feel skilled enough to complete it. Now I've done it and I'm so happy and relieved I finally got here.
