Idina and Kristin have a sweet and authentic friendship. It wasn't forced or a PR stunt for promotion sake like most celebrities do today in press tours. They really loved and supported each other! (They're still friends to this day btw) Ariana and Cynthia are such a downgrade. They won't do the musical and characters justice and certainly won't top Idina and Kristin (hell.. nobody will). They're going to try convincing us they're friends and shit but I know it's just a PR stunt for the film.
I've been binge-watching behind the scene videos of rehearsals and interviews, and just seeing them [Idina and Kristin] make me 🫠🥰. Their chemistry on stage when singing and not singing is amazing and so unfeigned. In other words, it doesn't feel like you're watching two actors. Their friendship outside of the show is what made the friendship of their characters so believable, so that's why their chemistry transitioned well on the stage! Also, they always spoke so highly of each other.
Ugh.. I can't get enough of them!!

during One Short Day Elphaba and Glinda are exploring the city and pass by a pair of Emerald City women strolling together (enjoying their own day), the women look over their shoulder and tip their EC glasses down to look at Elphaba and Glinda as if recognizing them and it's Idina and Kristin. They then move along laughing to continue on their way.
