hear me out (can be seen as romantic/platonic)
scara with a reader who's sole purpose is to protect and hold the Hydro Archon's gnosis bc they were made for that
except they're complete opposites — scara was abandoned while reader is praised constantly for their works of protecting fontaine.
both are puppets, but only one is free from it's creator. reader wants to go out and explore the world but Hydro Archon says no, because they're supposed to be protecting Fontaine. not thinking of fantasies that'll never come true.
until scara meets reader (who has no clue who he is), and decides to take advantage of their obliviousness to the outside world and limited knowledge about who the harbingers are.
he poses as a friend, someone reader could always go to whenever for whatever. reader is happy to talk to someone who's outside from fontaine and doesn't just go about their day once they've met reader, because that's what happened with all their interactions with someone so far.
reader slowly opens up to scara about their 'feelings' and true being. how they're simply a creation to hold a gnosis and protect, chained to their nation for eternity.
scara is surprised. the reader seemed perfectly human, with the way they acted and how sympathetic they were. he never would've guessed that they were... what they were.
huh... who wouldve guessed? he thought, laughing at the thought of a puppet meeting another. both had the near same purpose, yet were completely different from one another. maybe there were some similarities, but their traits were nowhere near the same.
somehow, scara sees a part of himself in them. oblivious and curious, not knowing the horrific things that happens outside of the nation. somehow, he sees kunikuzushi in them. the reader is talking about how they wished they could go outside and see every bit of Teyvat, how they're sure they would've loved all the nations!
scara looks around, before telling the reader that he can help them see the whole world. scara tells them that he can have them see everywhere, if they'd... leave fontaine on its own.
of course reader is willing to jump straight into this plan, but after hearing the last part, they hesitate. what if fontaine falls without them? what if the Hydro Archon would look for them frantically, yelling their name over and over, begging to just give back the gnosis?
"it's okay," scara reassures, "they can protect themselves."
I KNOW HOW SPECIFIC AND WSIRD THIS IS BUT PLESSE HEAR ME OUT
