Kind of a spur of the moment drawing, but I decided to make a little companion piece to Hiro Mashima’s latest NaLu day graffiti. I don’t draw a lot of Modern AU Nalu, so this piece was a lot of fun! Looks like Lucy doesn’t want her study session with Natsu to be over quite yet, though! Something tells me these two are studying chemistry together - for more reasons than one. 😉

I love Frieren for so many reasons, but I think the biggest aspect of it that just grips me is how much it’s a love letter to life. Specifically, to the concept of one little moment of your life permanently changing you for the better. To us, it’s UNIMAGINABLE just how vast and timeless Frieren’s lifespan is. Ten years to her is like an hour, at most, for a human—and yet, doesn’t everyone have a brief moment where something, or someone, did something to alter the way they see the world positively?
You’d think that such a profound thing, like a mere human like Himmel being able to leave such an impact on an elf like Frieren even years after his passing, was near impossible. But if all it takes is a moment to change our own perceptions, it’s such a wonderful feat for ten years to make Frieren the reminiscent and more open hearted mage she is now.

hey guys so apparently this is a thing a lot of people don't realise but like. if you have had writer's block/ art block for like. six months. a year. two years. that's maybe not a block. that's maybe depression. and you should maybe look into treating the source of the problem instead of just beating yourself up for not being able to write/draw. be kind to yourself and know that your struggle to create isn't based in laziness or a lack of skill or talent.
If Natsu and Lucy don't get together in the next 10 years I'm suing Hiro Mashima

the thing that gets me yknow... is that they dehumanised art. art. the most fundamentally human thing there is. they dehumanised it. it genuinely makes me want to cry.
i keep trying and failing to come up with an informed post about why you really shouldn't be using ai generators that basically consist of a database of pictures stolen from working artists, but it all boils down to me just screaming and begging literally anyone to just give a shit about us
i see photosets reblogged CONSTANTLY of very obvious ai art, but no one really seems to be able to recognize it anymore except artists. these posts get tens of thousands of likes on mass produced, soulless prompts that use exclusively works stolen from artists who have no say in the matter and absolutely no protection or power to stop it
every time i see ai ‘art’ now, all i see it stolen art, stolen time and stolen money. it hurts
also please just consider that this wont stop with us. fanfic writers are already discovering that their works are being trolled for content by ai farms. and from a security standpoint, if you’re uploading pictures of yourself to ai generators, they now just have an image of your face to use however they want, since legality isn’t really a huge issue for them
please just care, please just research
