You were happy as a clam, head still delightfully fuzzy, and body pleasantly vibrating from your afterglow.

It’d been a long time since you’d had any proper alone time what with the apartment walls being as thin as they were, so the second you’d had the place to yourself, you’d immediately busted out your best friend's late birthday gift to you that had been nothing more than a gag gift. 

Well you showed them! 

The gift had seen more than its fair use and the result was one of the best ones you’d had yet! It was honestly surprising that you hadn’t torn the walls down with how uninhibited and loud you’d been, finally free and comfortable enough to express all your pent up—

You walked in to your roommate Sans sitting on the couch.

The world froze as your mind stalled.

HE WASN’T SUPPOSED TO BE HOME FOR THREE HOURS!

“W-wow! You’re back early?”

He slowly nodded, sight set unblinkingly on the wall across from him.

"That's cool! Your boss must've been in a good mood today!"

Silence stretched.

He didn’t say a word, didn't even give a hum of acknowledgment.

Your shoulders sank with dreaded realization.

“...you’re traumatized aren’t you?”

He nodded again.

“I uh…” You awkwardly coughed into the side of your fist. “Still need your half of the rent by Wednesday.”

Still staring at the wall, he pulled out a wad of bills from his pocket and blindly tossed it to you. 

In your embarrassment you fumbled the catch and just barely caught it by the tips of your fingers, before cradling it close to your chest as if it were a teddy bear to comfort you.

“I’mma just go add this to the…yeah…”

You scampered away as quickly as you could back to your room.
