MUTUAL AID REQUEST
EDIT 4/4/24: A couple people made some very generous donations, which has been a weight off my shoulders 🩵 While I job hunt I would still appreciate any help, but I do not feel as panicky.
Hello! My name is Hyacinth, I’m 25 and I use they/he pronouns! I live with my fiancé @victor-frankensimp and our three pets, which include my dog named Bunny and my cats Ophelia and Freyja.
Unfortunately, my work decided to only schedule me four hours this entire week, so I’m only making around $40 this week. (I make $10.50 an hour, the minimum wage in my state is still $7.25) I barely make enough to survive on a decent work week, but this most recent schedule is a slap in the face.
Rent is due today, but we won’t be able to pay it until my partner’s paycheck this Friday. (Thankfully there is a grace period.) That will be my partner’s entire paycheck.
I have several bills due soon, and I’m concerned about being able to feed my pets and the well of myself and my partner. I am in the process of looking for another job, I’ve been applying left and right, but until then I’m barely scraping by and feel sick to my stomach with worry. We don’t have any savings to fall back on, we’re completely reliant on our paychecks. Thankfully my food stamps did just renew, so we are okay on food for now.
I feel deeply ashamed about doing this, but I’m unsure what else to do. If you look through my blog you can see I am an established account that didn’t just pop up to ask for aid and run off.
I would be happy to do some small tarot readings or rune readings in exchange for your generosity, but I’m afraid I’m not in a place where I can do art commissions or anything at this time.
