Miguel had been cooped up in his office at the Spider HQ reviewing reports on potential threats to the multiverse, he had a admirable work ethic that was near impossible to break him out of, that was one of the traits many respected him for. Bags were starting to form under his eyes as the silence of the night filled the air until Lyla would chime in a statistic or overview, he paid no mind to his slight fatigue and continued typing and swiping away at the holographic screens. Lost in thought he didn’t hear your soft footsteps become louder and close in on him, a warm coffee filled mug you had made him was slightly burning your fingertips as you held onto it.
“Miguel?” you called out to him, making him smile to himself at the sound of your voice. He stopped what he was reading, turning around to look at you.
“What are you doing here?” he questioned with concern, no malice laced in his tone “It’s so late.” He took you in, the way your hair was ruffled just the right amount, the way the moonlit night casted blue shadows on your best features and how you always greeted him with a smile.
You handed him the mug, his eyes lighting up as his fingers touched yours momentarily “You’ve been in here all day, I haven’t seen you at all!” A bittersweet feeling dried up his mouth, he was glad you thought of him but he felt like he should push you away as to avoid heartbreak, he knew that most of the time in every dimension Spiderman’s love life was a cruel joke.

🕸 After he set up the Spider association you were one of the first that joined, he didn’t feel much for you at first but after going on countless missions together he trusted you more than anyone.
🕸He gave up on finding love after his daughter died, he felt as if he didn’t deserve a good relationship after all the damage he caused. You were one of the few people that helped him through his guilt and sadness after the event, often cracking jokes with Peter B. to get Miguel to crack even the littlest of smiles.
🕸 He never truly got over his daughters death but he slowly started to act softer and more affectionate with you. He would hang around the lobby more, he didn’t really know why but he always felt like he was looking for someone every time he went out. All most each time he came out of his ‘office’ you would always find a way to lock eyes with him or even strike up a conversation and each time he’d always let his rough exterior fall and shoot you a small smile.
🕸 Normally in his free time you’d always be with him eating Empanadas or Arepas in the kitchen, working in silence next to each other, checking up on you daily and slightly leaning into your touch whenever you’d accidentally bump into him. Miguel even gave you special authorisation with Lyla that no one but him had.
🕸 It was when Lyla alerted him that you were severely hurt after a mission gone horribly wrong he quickly dropped everything and rushed over and into your dimension. You were bloody and bruised, sitting on your living room floor panting and exhausted. Miguel’s heart dropped for a second,at the thought of loosing you he’s reminded of how his daughter hung onto him before she disappeared.

You and Soap had been on an intel mission that backfired, leaving you with a bullet wound in your bicep as you two were running to a safe house. The blood loss and exercise making you feel lightheaded. Once both of you were in a safe position he was finally able to pay attention to your wound, he bit his cheek slightly as he ripped your bloodied sleeve open to take care of it.
As soon as he had finished he sat down next to you, only a foot apart. He was talking to Price as your eyelids were becoming heavier and heavier by each passing moment. Your limbs started to relax and become limp just by listening to the Scottish man's voice fill the space. Your hand had dropped from your lap to the ground in between you two, the cold, blood splattered ground was a stark contrast of the warmth of your bloodied arm that you had been holding even after Soap put some bandages on it.
Your pinkie was resting lightly against this. Soap took note of this, his gaze moving from your hand to your face. To him, despite the blood, sweat and dirt, you looked beautiful and strong yet in need of comfort. He didn't have a second thought as he extended his calloused hand on top of yours, the warmth of his hand jolted you awake.
Your head snapped to look at him, all he could offer was a sheepish smile. His cheeks started to heat up and turn a light shade of red, "Price is coming to pick us up in a couple hours." he softly whispered, massaging the back of your hand to calm you. You responded to him by moving slowly up against him, making sure your arm doesn't move in any way that would cause any more pain, moving his hand to your thigh and resting your head on his shoulder. He gently squeezed your thigh as he rested his head on top of yours, his breathing lulling you to sleep.

You were making a cup of coffee in the base’s kitchen, desperate for any form of energy you could get as there was so much paperwork in need to be completed by the morning. The buzzing noises of the machine disrupted your thoughts, dragging the moment on forever as it seemed like an eternity had passed just by waiting for it to be finished.
“Are you okay?” a gruff voice boomed next to you, the question sounded more like a demand. You flinched harshly in response, feeling the presence of the familiar man behind you made the hairs on the back of your neck prick up. “Yeah, im just…” you turned around, staring into the eyes of the guy that was boring holes into the coffee machine “making coffee, I’ve got so much paperwork to do!” You groaned at him, clenching and unclenching your fists as if you were trying to contain your emotions.
Once your coffee was done, you two spent a solid 3 minutes just basking in eachother’s presence and catching up on how your day had been, the boiling coffee offering warmth to the cold atmosphere that filled the air. You lifted your aching body up from the countertop to make your way to the door, Ghost took note of this and got up too. He didn’t say anything, just trailed behind you as you were making your way for the exit. “Where are you heading to now?” you asked as you held the door open for him, he offered you a small nod and quickly took his place by your side.
“I’m…walking you back to your room.” He answered in a huff, acting as if it meant nothing to him yet his heart was beating so hard he was about to have an aneurism. He was conscious of how he swallowed a little harder than usual after his sentence, how his hand started to feel sweaty like a school boy finally talking to his crush. He felt pathetic that a man of his status felt like this, yet he longed for the freeing feeling of youth again. That’s why when your hand brushed up against his, his first reaction was to hold your hand. Even he was suprised when he looked at you, looking right back at him was your confused face, shame instantly takes over him as you just stay there looking at his hand. He didn’t know what to do, the Ghost panicked at simple physical affection, until you squeezed his trembling hand. Neither of you dared to say a word, yet walked back to you room in a comfortable silence hand in hand.

You two had been out drinking to ease up the stress you two had been under, despite this you made the smart decision to not get shit faced drunk unlike a certain British man. You watched in pure amusement as he ordered his fifth drink in slurred words mixing together. Even though you were no where near Gaz’s level of drunk, you couldn’t help but let out a giggle at him. He whipped his head at you with a pout on his lips, jabbing you harshly in your ribs.
“Gaz!” You groaned at him, feigning being in pain from the playful action. This however didn’t grab his attention, his attention was quickly back on the bartender that had just placed the beer he asked for in front of him. You sighed and checked your phone for the time, it was 11:23pm, it was around time to be getting back to base. You bit your cheek slightly before lifting your glass cup to your lips to finally finish off your drink. Deciding to wait until he finished his drink to finally say drag him out of the pub.

I don't see him being a big hugger, he would rather touch your waist or back softly as he stands next to you, press his thigh up against yours in meetings, rubbing your nuckles with his thumb in bed. He doesn't particularly like being touched in such a body to body way, although he wouldn't put up a fight if you were the touchy one in the relationship. He would only ever hug if you were upset or he was on the verge of an emotional breakdown.
Kyle “Gaz” Garrick
A 50/50 hugger depending on the environment, long and gentle back massaging hugs in private/areas where no one was near, brief hugs in public. He sneaks up behind you and wraps his arms around your waist and pushes his body up against yours, it's almost never sexual, he just really enjoys your body heat. A big forehead kisser, it doesn't matter if your taller than him, he will always try to kiss your forehead at any given moment that wasn't at work.
John “Soap” MacTavish
100% a hugger, his love language is physical touch. He will give you bear hugs pretty much anywhere, he doesn't care who stares he will squeeze you so hard that your ribs are on the verge of bruising. If you're not comfortable with pda he'll try his best not to do such extravagant ways, instead leaving them for private times. He also enjoys just laying on your lap and looking up at you, taking in every feature of you face.

Like Gaz, he's a 50/50 hugger. He’ll almost always greet you with quick hugs, pat your shoulder, and brush your hands up against each other in public. In private times he'd slap your butt, pull you by the waist, kiss your cheeks every 5 minutes. He's a big cuddler too, whenever he had free time his favourite pass time is big spooning you on the couch to watch some reality tv with you.
