If you find yourself exhausted from defending Sebastian Stan constantly, take a moment to consider how often POC find themselves exhausted from speaking up against racism.

If you find yourself disappointed in Sebastian Stan creating another problem that prevents you from enjoying fandom, take a moment to consider how often POC find themselves disappointed in fandom not being a safe space for them.

If you find yourself explaining away Sebastian Stan’s ever growing list of inexcusable behaviour, take a moment to consider how POC withdraw when their voices are spoken over.

If you continuously coddle a privileged white man who proves himself to be wilfully ignorant, you are part of the problem, too. You can continue to love a character, but do not justify Sebastian Stan’s personal behaviours in any way and do not think Bucky Barnes is a shield to hide behind that absolves you of defending the actor that plays him.
