Hey, it’s Gabriel. Did you miss me?
Still as melodramatic as always, I may disappear and cause chaos sometimes.

i miss how freudian and bizarre early wincest was. i miss sam’s lingering eyes, dean’s unnatural assay to get his little brother laid. i miss the way dean’s biggest vice was the reality of sam knowing other people. sam pleads with dean to kill him? dean would rather die!!! dean’s about to have a threesome? not until he gets a thumbs up from his sammy! sam’s making out with a woman? dean’s watching with a smile on his face. zero boundaries. just two brothers crammed into one car, then one motel room, who have an unceasing presence in the other’s life. just sam, who was ready to harvest organs if it meant keeping dean alive. they were never going to be normal.

bro bro.... the s15 directing could have been so good. characters looking directly at the camera more and more, the lighting changing continuously, the screen glitching whenever cas is present, the screen sometimes blacking out and you can only hear the voices, we could have had it all. ..

#There should have been a scene where they're all sitting round a table like you do on tv#So only 2/3 of the table is used so you can leave room for the camera#But then cas just sits down in the space that has been made#Unaware of the Rules of being directed#With a whole scene with his back to the camera and we miss crucial god killing plans because of it#And so Chuck also misses those plans#I want Cas to have gotten in the way so much because he doesn't follow the laws of making TV#Cas is off screen and you hear him talking about something super important and showing Sam and Dean some sigil he found#And the camera tries to pan round to him but is like magnetised to the winchesters so it keeps snapping back to them#As Dean becomes more aware of the fact that they're basically gods favourite sitcom he looks directly into the camera more and more#You see people having normal conversations and he's just furrow browed staring into the lens#On the precipice of knowing of seeing#But never ever able to voice it#Sometimes chuck decides to rewrite a scene so you see the same tiny bit of a scene twice when he realised he didn't like a certain line#But Cas is like uh you just said that Sam?#They can't TV light cas and that's why he looks so haggard and ill in s15#Bc the studio lights simply don't work on someone who exists out of the narrative#spn

man supernatural might be bad but also ill be damned if thats not the most american show ever. like theres movies and tv that've tried to be this american but 99% have failed. you watch a particularly good episode of supernatural and suddenly you feel the hours of highway winds against your skin and theres more asphalt road than livable terrain for miles and you eat the best meal of your life at a pit stop and you havent gone to church since you were a kid but you still think about praying sometimes and you split a 6 pack with someone you love and a few too many people around you have guns and the land around you is so big when youre right in the center of it you feel like it could swallow you up and you know for a fact theres an unimaginable amount of mythology just beneath the surface. and then you watch the next episode where sam kills paris hilton or something
