Sore and Tired

Just ready to get off. Walked into my department tonight to see nothing was done during the day then I totally fell and skinned my knees and elbows all up. Now I'm limping all over work and cleaning up everyone else's messes. Wtf.

When you think about the possible end of Supernatural

Hearing about S12 and then S13:

When you come across someone who doesn’t like the show:

When you’re at someone’s house who doesn’t watch SPN and the season premier is coming on:

I feel like Paul was one of those exotic cars. You know the one’s where the manufacture only made a selective number of models. In Paul’s case they only made one, but now that car’s gone. It will never be driven again. Its engine will never roar and over power the streets. And now somehow the roads seem less clear.

And then you envy all those people that got behind the wheel. The one’s that really got to become familiar and personal with the car. They will tell you how nothing ever felt more lively. That it wasn’t like anything they’ve ever experienced. The vigorous battle of being out of control, and yet so serene, still feeling in control. Total chaos and bliss, a complete contradiction. But even so, nothing could ever express the feeling of being behind that wheel. But that was the point. The car wasn’t something you could merely express through words; you just felt it while switching gears.

And then you have those who witnessed the car flying through the streets. They spoke of how majestic it was. They admired it from afar, but its beauty and lightning struck them tragically. They tried to paint themselves in the driver’s seat, but they knew that no matter how beautifully sketched their imagination was, it could never really amount to the actual experience. So all they had left was the indescribable love and connection they felt for a car they would never get the chance to drive.

But either way, they would never forget the moment they witnessed pure beauty whip right pass them, so powerful that the tires burned trails across the roads in their hearts. So fast that now it seems as though they didn’t have enough time to fully admire it. But sadly, the drivers shared this same experience.

Now, that car’s parked in storage and all we have left are stories. But those stories are the most important thing. It’s the only thing that keeps are memories alive. And you’ll know it’s working because the roar of the engine will be so enchanting and ferocious that it will be untamable.

Race In Paradise Paul 💙🙏

This is such a suitable comparison, reading your words made me cry..so all we can do is to listen to our hearts and keep the memories alive…and you´re right, it´s working - they are too intense to fade away…

The Invictus Games Organizing Committee on Thursday announced the schedule of competition for the wounded warrior athletic event, which will be held in May at Walt Disney World.

An international spotlight will shine on Orlando for five days, May 8-12, during competitions at ESPN’s Wide World of Sport. More than 500 former soldiers from 15 nations are expected to compete in the event, which was first held in Great Britain in 2014.

“The 2014 Games were just the beginning of the Invictus story,” said Britain’s Prince Harry, who is one of the driving forces behind the event. “The competitors showed grit, determination and humor: an absolute refusal to be beaten or be defined by their injuries — the Invictus spirit was born. I can’t wait to see the American public supporting these inspirational men and women at the next games.”

The sports festival kicks off on May 8 with track and field heats, sitting volleyball pool play, archery prelims and the Opening Ceremony.

Over the next four days, competitors will be vying for medals in events including, cycling, indoor rowing, power lifting, swimming, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby and wheelchair tennis.

The first medals of the Games will be presented on Monday, May 9 in cycling.

The final events will be on Thursday, May 12, when the gold and bronze medal games in wheelchair basketball take place, followed that night by the Closing Ceremony.

The full schedule of competition can be found online at invictusgames2016.org.
