I think it’s important for me to be clear that I am adamantly pro Palestine and believe and support them in their liberation from apartheid. I mourn the loss of any civilians and their loved ones. I also believe in resistance to colonialism. I shouldn’t have to say this but I support jewish people 1000% but not the oppressive Israeli regime. in 20 years I think we will look back at this genocide and wonder why no one did anything. and I’m really sick to my stomach about it. so I want to make this clear, it’s free Palestine all day every day.
in transparency I went to the region back in 2018 in college to study the conflict/oppression. I went pretty neutral as I didn’t know much about it. it was one of the most sobering things I’ve ever experienced, going into Palestinian refugee camps and speaking with Palestinians directly. I’ve been to the edge of Gaza (since movement into and out of Gaza is extremely monitored and restricted) and heard the bombs. the things they don’t talk about on the media are more atrocious, violent, and deadly than you could ever imagine. and almost every Israeli I met was adamantly pro-Palestine because of what they’ve witnessed.
I didn’t know until I went but that’s not how it should be. the news is fucking lying to you about 90% of this conflict/apartheid. this is a genocide.

in yaffo I met a woman who had moved to Israel from the UK to the join the IDF “so I can kill as many brown people as possible”. I was by the mediterranean and a restaurant nearby was playing hips dont lie by shakira. the woman said it to me unprovoked because she said shakira is pro Palestine so she wished she could “put a bullet between her eyes”.
this is a genocide.
