idkw olive oil detangles my hair so well. i've tried a lot of conditioners and there's always a little bit of resistance while detangling. olive oil underneath running water tho??? a magical experience 😭 everyone has their oil of choice but oil + running water has been such a game changer!!

i've also accepted that my hair isn't suited for finger detangling 💀probably inflicted more damage than anything with finger detangling bc I would create knots and occasionally rip through hair. brushes/combs equally distribute force so you don't create knots if you work from ends up to roots. also clingy shed hair caused 90% of my tangles and finger detangling was never enough to completely get rid of them 🙃 but i think finger detangling works for hair types that successfully shed their hair

tip: brush vertically 

if you have a standard paddle brush, check if the bristles form perfect vertical rows. it’s easier to brush when those rows are aligned with your hair!

this is FACTS tho i barely lose hair now (i have mainly 4C hair). fave thing to do is add olive oil to my hair and stand underneath water. the constant flow of water weighs hair down and makes hair way easier to brush/comb✨
