No one said that being the heir to the throne of Zivia would be easy.
Your land is vast, full of busy people and it's been ruled by the dynasty with the same name for far too long, as some might claim. And yet, you don't feel like you truly belong, like you're fit to rule. But an arranged marriage? A pirate crew that kidnaps you on the night of your birthday masquerade? A god that has found a home in your mind and was tasked with killing you? No one prepared you for that at all.
Wait, let's go back to the beginning.
On the night of your birthday masquerade organized by your parents, King Orion and Queen Larya, you're supposed to meet for the very first time your betrothed, the one you were promised to in an arranged marriage a long time ago. Fate has other plans though, and you're knocked out cold when the clock strikes midnight and kidnapped by one of the most infamous pirate crews in Zivia. Things seem to only get worse as you discover the god living rent free in your head.
Unfortunately for you, your problems don't stop there and you're thrust into a journey to save yourself, your loved ones and your kingdom alongside a group of eclectic and questionable characters. It looks like everyone is out there to get you, and you'll find out soon enough that this chain of unfortunate events was somehow caused by only one person.

Leona Beva (f, she/her, 24) - Your personal guard and best friend. She's been there for you ever since you met, protecting and taking care of you. Her hugs feel like home, even with her toned and sturdy arms worked daily by intensive training. She's competitive, ambitious, assertive and always has a back-up plan. And yet, when it comes to you, Leona seems to act first and think later. You find her glancing at you longingly from time to time, but that's definitely nothing more than her doing her job. Giving you handmade mugs is definitely nothing more than her being a good friend. A small kiss on the cheek in the spur of the moment, her hand brushing yours as you walk side by side trough the palace. Is she even allowed to hope for something more, or is she destined to always admire you from afar?
Silvan/Silva Valori (m/f, he/him|she/her, 26) - The fiancé(e) you've never met, though you're not particularly excited to. Some describe them as cold and arrogant, while others insist they're actually quite the attentive individual, just misunderstood. You'll just have to wait and see, but their ghostly pale skin matches their personality perfectly — cold and devoid of any warmth, and their feelings towards you are less than amicable. They play the piano and violin beautifully, or so you're told, but they often close the door so no one would hear them; they're used to that anyway. After a faithful encounter neither of you was expecting, you realize there might be a touch of gentleness hidden under that closed-off exterior. And they might just let you feel it if you manage to get close enough.
River Gale (m, he/him, 27) - The pirate that knocks you out and abducts you. You can try and be angry with him for forcefully taking you on his ship all you want, it's going to be hard when he winks and looks at you like that. A smirk here, a wicked look there. River knows just how to push your buttons, and the flirty remarks he makes daily definitely match his Casanova reputation. He likes to hit it and run, both when smuggling riches and when dealing with romance. At first, he doesn't want to tell you why you were kidnapped, and you might be better off not knowing. Chasing the wind and the gold, he hops from place to place, never settling long enough to let himself feel anything. Maybe he wants more than only one night from you, and you wonder if he'll let you be the one to tame his scarred soul.
Clover Yarrow (non-binary, they/them, 22) - The mage you managed to find to help you exorcize take out the god out of your mind. It doesn't take long to convince them to help you out, it's almost a little too easy. They ask a million questions about everything and are always up for an adventure. When the bright sun shines on their sepia, reddish-brown skin, it reminds you of their bedazzling smile and fun, warm personality. Clover might be approachable and friendly, but you still know nothing about them. Why do they live in the woods? Why do they always carry around that old book with weird symbols? Wait, is that a spider moving on their clothes?! Oh no, I thought it was a brooch! They like to hide every tear or frown with a good joke and contagious laugh, but will you get close enough to figure this enigma of a mage out?
??? The God ??? (they/he) - The god that has taken over your mind and is supposed to make you go crazy to the point of insanity until you end up dead. They're also a himbo with bloody eyes, horns and long black nails that resemble claws. When he looks at you like that you almost want to give in and surrender to them, but is it the smartest choice? Definitely not.
