“Any chance is better than no chance.” Luna reminded Lethe. “But yes, we should get to our room first. After all, it works better in a place where there’s no chance of us getting disturbed.”
{If this worked on a divine dragon god, then it should work here on this human.} Silver added. {Plus I must admit, I am curious of this Ike as well. So…shall we?}

“Okay, let’s do it!” Lethe said gaining some confidence. “Thank you again Queen Elincia, it was a pleasure as always.”

“Not a problem, now you three have a good night, and say hello to Ike for me.” Elincia said with a smile. So the three followed Bastian to their guest room and walked in.

“So, what do I need to do?” Lethe asked after he left.

Avatar
“S-Sure. Thank you.” Luna got up, with Silver also getting up and staying by her side. This was her first time staying in a room, since she would sleep outside whenever she visited her Uncle Marth in Altea.
{Forgive us, but…this is our first time staying in a room away from home.} Silver decided to say. {Is there anything that you require of us?}

“Really? That’s a surprise.” Elincia noted. “Um, I guess just don’t set it on fire or anything and we should be okay. You two seem like really responsible people, I’m sure you won’t do anything too absurd.”

“Um, so, should I join you two, if you’re going to try that thing you mentioned before?” Lethe asked a bit nervously. “I mean I still don’t think it will work, but still, if there is a chance...”

“I can sleep outside, if you need me to. I don’t mind, and I don’t want to be a bother to you.” Luna answered the Queen. “I’m used to sleeping outside, so I’m comfortable either way.”
{Same for me.} Silver also responded. {I don’t want to scare anyone any more than I probably have already.}

“Oh nonsense, we have plenty of extra rooms for you all to sleep in.” Elincia said a bit surprised at their willingness to sleep outside. “And of course there is a room for you as well Lethe.”

“You’re too kind Queen Elincia.” Lethe said with a smile as she picked some food out of her whiskers.

“Shall I show you to your rooms?” Bastian asked as he got up from the table.

“Well…my father did. Mother…wasn’t around for long, but her spirit’s in the Twilight Realm.” Luna answered. “But…thank you, Lady Elincia.”
(I’ll have to show Lethe my power of going into dreams, then.) She then thought. (I haven’t done it since Duma, and that was years ago. But I’m sure that it’ll work!)

“He did a very good job then, because your manners are perfect. So are your’s Silver, but most wolves don’t really have rules, so I guess it was an easy bar to reach.” Elincia said, not trying to sound condescending, but it’s the best she came up with to deal with this situation.

“I shall have to write this encounter in my memoirs.” Bastian noted. “Meeting a talking wolf and his warping friend, such things are so exciting.” After that they ate their fill and got up from the table.

“Will you be staying the night, or do you still have places to be?” Elincia asked.

Luna sat down to eat with Silver politely laying down by her feet. She had to show her manners since she was a princess, so she didn’t eat a whole lot of food. But she gently put a hand on Lethe’s shoulder since she could sense that she was feeling down.
“…Here, meet me outside later tonight.” She told her. “I think I know a way we can run into him. Well…not physically, but magically.”

As they sat and ate Elincia couldn’t help but notice Luna’s impeccable manners. And while she didn’t want to sound like she was assuming her station in life, most nobility didn’t go on adventures like this.

“Where did you learn such good manners?” She asked. “Did your parents teach you?” When Luna told Lethe about maybe meeting Ike she nodded, still not quite believing it.

How is she going to find him when he didn’t tell anyone he was leaving?

Avatar
“That’s true. I’m the only manakete back home.” Luna explained. “We’re pretty much dragons, but it looks like we grow slower than dragon laguz. For example, my mother knew a divine dragon back in a place called Archanea. She looks like a 10 year old, but…she’s actually older than a thousand years old.”
{My pack lives in the Twilight Realm.} Silver added. {I guess our adaptations to the magic there made this conversation possible. Well…without Luna having to translate me, anyway.}

“Must seem lonely at some points.” Elincia pondered to herself as they reached the dining room, seeing a table full of all types of food. “Do help yourself, but also remember your manners. I don’t mind too much, but some people do.”

“Tis not I my Queen, I watched Sir Ike eat, I don’t think anyone could be worse than him.” Bastian joked.

“I’d have to agree on that one, but it was kinda endearing.” Elincia said with a chuckle but Lethe’s ears drooped down as they talked about Ike.

Avatar
“Gladly!” Luna grinned, letting her fangs show. Silver chuckled a little while seeing his best friend get excited, since he was excited about this experience as well.
{I’m glad about that.} He smiled at the Queen. {When I first spoke, it scared just about everyone in Luna’s family. Hence…why I’m quiet most of the time. But I suppose it’s good to be…me for once.}

“Well, I figure it’s because I’ve become so accustomed to talking with Laguz that let me be so comfortable around you Silver.” Elincia noted. “I guess that means you don’t have many talking animals where you live?”

“From what she’s said they are very rare.” Lethe noted about what Luna had told them.

Avatar
“I suppose food wouldn’t hurt. Thank you.” Luna nodded in gratitude. Silver calmly went by her side and sat down.
{Forgive me if my ability to talk like this scared you, Lady Elincia.} He said to her. {This is the only way I can communicate with you, I’m afraid.}

“Not a problem, it’s about time for me to eat as well so I’m sure the cooks have everything just about done.” Elincia noted.

“Lots of meat? Maybe some fish?” Lethe asked.

“Of course. And don’t you worry Silver, it was strange at first, but I’ve gotten used to it.” Elincia answered. “So let’s get to it eh?”

Avatar
“Well we don’t know unless we try, right?” Luna tried to cheer Lethe up, but she had to return to her calm demeanor when Elincia appeared with Silver.
“Don’t worry, you’re not the first to say that. And you’ll most likely won’t be the last.” She politely bowed to the Queen. “Then I should give this to you.” She gently handed to crystal to her.

“Thank you I will make sure it is guarded well.” Elincia said taking it and holding onto it firmly. “Now Silver here said you’ve been travelling for a bit, do you need any supplies or anything like that? Maybe some food?”

“I could use something to eat, if we have the time.” Lethe noted, her Laguz appetite rearing it’s head a bit.

Luna could start to put two and two together, and the symbol that Lucia showed her proved her theory.
“He…sounds like a good role model. A…good person to look up to.” She smiled a bit. “Who knows…we might run into him at some point. Fate does have a way of pulling its magic. …In ways that not even the Twilight Realm can understand.”

“Don’t get my hopes up Luna, I’ve already seen you do some amazing things, but that one just may be out of your reach.” Lethe said. So they made it to the castle where Silver had brought Elincia and Bastian out to meet Luna.

“Hm, I thought you might be a bit... older.” Elincia commented when she saw Luna. “But no matter, your friend here explained everything.”

Avatar
“This crystal is meant to transport someone to the Twilight Realm, an alternate world that my mother helped to create.” Luna explained. “So it’s best if it was in your Queen’s hands. As long as the energy’s in that crystal, it can’t harm anyone.”
“…You know, you keep talking about this Ike guy, but I haven’t heard of him.” She decided to then ask. “…Who is he? Is he a legend around here?”

“Then we should hurry back to the castle then.” Lucia said starting to walk back. Then Luna asked about Ike and even though it might hurt, it was probably best for Lethe to explain.

“Ike...well I can I say...he’s the reason why we’re not all statues at the moment.” Lethe started. “He was, amazing, so down to earth but extraordinary at the same time. He treated everyone as equals, and he saved everyone as equals. He was humble and kind, but also tough and determined.” Lucia made a heart with her hands to Luna to explain what was going on.

Avatar
“…My apologies.” Luna unsheathed her sword and sealed the power away in the crystal. “…I guess I do have much more to learn as a princess.”
“If there’s an energy spot here…Gods, please don’t tell me that these are all over Tellius…!” She hissed under her breath, now really worried about the other nations of the continent.

“Ah, you just blasted jinxed the whole thing now.” Lethe said placing her hand on her forehead as a cat. “Now every nation is going to have one of these things. I wish Ike was here, he could help us out.”

“We all know Lord Ike had his reasons for leaving Lethe, I’m sure he didn’t make that decision lightly.” Lucia mentioned since she knew why Lethe was sulky about it. “Now, what do we do with this Luna?”

Avatar
“And you have no idea what it can do to you! Now drop it, or face the consequences!” Luna made her wings and claws fade, but kept her horns out as she unsheathed her Silver Sword.
“Lady Lucia…don’t worry. I know a trick for this.” She got herself into a calm fighting stance, waiting for her opponent to attack her.

“Really, you want to end this with fighting?” Lucia said with a sigh as she pulled out a small bag and walked towards the bandit. “You think this will be enough to sell that thing for?” The bandits eyes shot wide and he gladly gave Lucia the crystal and ran off with the gold.

“I may like a good fight more than the average person, but it pays to do things the simple way sometimes.” She said with a smirk. “You may be a bit young to realize that though, so I don’t blame you.”

Avatar
“Alright, follow me.” Luna followed the trail that the energy left while Silver left with Bastian. She went into the center of a village to where she found it…and a bandit had taken it.
“You there!” Luna halfshifted to show her horns, wings and claws. “Release that energy! You have no clue what it can do to you!”

“Well at least it’s not a dragon this time.” Lethe said transforming into her cat form to cut off the bandit’s escape.

“Hey, I found this thing fair and square laying on the ground, you can’t take it from me.” The bandit said hugging the crystal tightly. “If I can sell this thing I can stop being a bandit.”

Avatar
{I will go.} Silver offered to Bastian. {I know that I am merely a wolf, but I was born in the world where this energy is from. So perhaps I can give the best explanation.}
“And then the rest of us can quickly solve this situation.” Luna then thought of the rest of the strategy, although she sensed Lethe’s sadness. But she would have to hold that conversation until later.

“Alright just be careful.” Lethe noted. “Lucia, do you have something to give him so the guards know he’s allowed around the castle?”

“Here, wear this pin and the guards won’t bother you.” Lucia said pinning it on his fur. “Okay miss Luna, show us where to go.”

Avatar
“Er…we kinda have a situation right now.” Luna decided to start with that. “I’ll explain more once this is dealt with, but…someone full of malice took an energy that makes them corrupted. Once we find this person, I can safely seal this energy away.”
{She isn’t lying.} Silver growled. {We had to deal with this in Goldoa as well.}

“Ah, just when we just dealt with someone like that, another takes his place. Maybe this is why Sir Ike left the land.” Bastian said in his flowery voice. “Well then, we better tell the Queen about this no?”

“You think we have time for that Luna?” Lethe said, though she was feeling sad about what Bastian said about Ike.
