Israel has done what we all predicted and warned about. Simple, pure evil. They pushed Palestinians by carpet bombing everywhere till they all had to go to the least bombed place (No, Rafah was never completely safe. They were bombed there, too, to a horrific degree), and then, after cramming what nears a two million civilians with about 600 thousand children, they are asking them to leave... to where?! Nowhere. They are just saying leave. So then, when they kill them all, they can say 'Oh, we warned them'

It was all predicted, and no one did a thing

Rafah is now the most densely populated place in the world, with a population of about 1.5 million and prehaps more in 64 km2. About 25 miles squere.

25 miles squere

A marathon is 26 miles straight. You can at least run through Rafah in length once and in width twice and pass the 1.5 million Palestinians. That's how crammed it is. With no where to run

You can say this dumb shit all you want but you will never convince me that this is applicable to a nation state literally built on and its existence sustained through ethnic cleansing to this very day.

It is laughable that Israelis have the nerve to claim they oppose Netanyahu's government then turn around and send their kids to serve in the IDF while they kick it on top of depopulated Palestinian villages. Be serious.

It is Israeli settlers, not soldiers, that have been terrorising Palestinians and invading their villages, burning down their properties and destroying their crops as recently as this week. It was Israeli settlers, not soldiers, that burnt the Dawabsheh family to death in their home. It was Israeli settlers, not soldiers, who kidnapped and murdered 17 year old Abu Khdeir.

This is Israel's legacy, I'm not saying anything new.

ive seen so much of this bizarre liberal sentiment over the past few months that writes off protests and support for palestine on the assumption that people are doing this because its trendy and exciting, as if to discourage people from even thinking there could be anything outside of disinterested complacency and self interest. is it so hard to believe people have principles and ideals that are important to them? that people have political beliefs they want to see actualized? that people and social relations could be anything more than they currently are?

In a press conference held by the Palestinian Civil Defence in Gaza earlier today, they confirmed that they estimate 10,000 people remain missing under the rubble and that, with their very limited means right now, in order to be able to locate and exhume these bodies, the operation could take up to three years. Until then, these 10,000 are not counted among the casualties.

As summer approaches, the trapped bodies are going to be a major source of illnesses and epidemics are expected to spread. Already, there are 20,000 cases of hepatitis in Gaza.

All of this of course is made infinitely more difficult by Israel blocking fuel from entering while it continues to target civil defence vehicles. As a matter of fact, Rafah now has only 3 functioning fire trucks according to a Palestinian Civil Defence spokesperson.
