when programs fucking autocorrect <3 to ❤️ and :) to 😃,,,, do you have any idea what you’ve just done?? what you just fucking destroyed ?

A) It's irritating when systems turn lovely ascii art into crude little pictograms, and

😎 It's even more frustrating when you weren't actually trying to make an emoji.

My boss was like “Do you have any idea how much money we’re losing” like who cares, it’s not like they would give it to me otherwise

Have our investors tried making coffee at home and not eating out so much?

Everyone talking about posts that changed their brain chemistry seem to be leaving out this classic, which probably propelled me into activism and more self confidence in a way that I cannot put into words.

This is painful to look at.

Income average was 0.82 an hour

So the car took 951 hours to pay off. 118 8 hour days. 23.775 weeks of full time pay. That's almost 4 months. But it would be paid off!

The house 4285 hours. 535.6 days. 107 weeks. Not too bad. Just over 2 years nonstop total.

Today?

Ave income 59384 = 28.55 an hour. Sounds good so far.

Car? 34876 = 1221.5 hours to pay off. Oh dear. That's 152 days. 30 weeks. Hmmm. That's a bit over half a year

House? 495100 = 17366 hours. 2170 work days. Um... that's a lot. 434 weeks. That's 3 years and like 3 months.

All that assuming you're not paying for anything else at all. @.@;;;

While I do think they will be replaced by the next generation of rich old people I also think millennials and gen z already grew up chronically lonely so old age loneliness won't drive us to consume endless amounts of conspiracy theories and right wing media. I think a lot of us know better ways to waste our time. Plus lots of millennials and gen z don't even want kids at all so they'd presumably have a better social network anyway than just relying on their kids

I love it when TV shows technobabble by stringing together science words that so clearly do not mean what they think they mean

like yes polyatomic anions are things, but like, that term could mean almost literally anything, none of which has anything to do with quantum entanglement
