Some ideas for January 29

The day John Watson and Sherlock Holmes met.

@cupidford talked about that she was going to put a rose at the Eros statue at Piccadilly Circus on January 29 for John and Sherlock. Maybe people who are in London want to join in! 

@bug-catcher-in-viridian-forest suggested wearing pink armbands as a protest against the outcome of series 4. (https://pinkarmbands.tumblr.com/)

Maybe we could also leave messages against queerbaiting and for John and Sherlock on pink fabric stripes that we leave anywhere we want.

Whatever you feel doing like in remembrance and protest on the 29th, make sure to take to social media (esp. twitter) and the hashtags #norbury #bbcqueerbaiting and/or #sherlock.

When they’re discussing plans for rebuilding 221B, Mrs Hudson asks them if they’ll be needing two rooms. ‘Of course we’ll be needing two rooms’, says John. another adaption with Sherlock Holmes and John Watson solving crimes as best platonic bros forever.

At least we know that Greg and Mycroft are now a happy couple thank god

I have a Theory.

What would be the scariest thing (not person) for Sherlock Holmes to lose?

What does he rely on to do what he does?

Take a look at Ben’s eyes at some points in the recent trailers. 

Do they look a little… blank?

This is too dark for me. Just nope.

Even temporary blindness as a symptom of illness would explain why he’s so fucked up and stumbling through the streets in TLD, and of all the light and torches we’ve seen associated with John, this is one we seem to neglect. But as a doctor, it’s probably the most relevant to his character and we’ve only seen him use it once. 

He’s literally shining light in Sherlock’s eyes, you can’t tell me that’s not relevant. 

Every time I see this on my dash it gets worse. I guess I’ll add another one. That one episode everyone hates yet is always the rosetta stone for our codes. It’s even in the title. The only title which isn’t a play on an ACD title.

Um, well:

Do you guys remember pre-series 3 Mofftiss saying The Sign of Three was basically a love letter to John Watson and all of us fools thought they meant a love letter to the character John Watson by his creators Mark and Steven - but then it turned out to be a *literal* love letter by Sherlock?

Good times.
