Making this call was tough but now: we announce the closure of @siriusblackfest Moving forward, we won't be organizing any more fests. We want to express our heartfelt gratitude for the years of unwavering support and love that Sirius Black Fest has received on Livejournal and Dreamwidth since the early 2000s.

This is the first official post by PADFOOT FEST!
We are a new Sirius Black fanwork festival that is taking up the mantle of Sirius Black Fest, a festival that celebrates Sirius Black. Sirius Black Fest was a fest that made us, Sirius’ fans, happy for many years, but it has recently been discontinued. We, the mods of Padfood Fest, are very grateful to the original organisers for their long-term hard work and appreciate just how much effort goes into organising a successful festival like this, and that’s why we want to make sure that the tradition of appreciating of one of the most iconic HP characters is kept alive within our fandom.

For the third consecutive year, we are running the MT comfest! With new prompts, fresh out of the oven, we cannot wait to see what you'll offer the world! This fest is meant to provide comfort and a sense of community to those who might have a hard time during the holidays, and those who want to spread warmth during this time! This is a very informal fest, so there is no hard deadline and you don’t have to sign up– all you have to do is create your work, and then post it into the collection once it’s open! The rules are the same as last year– above all, we ask for respect and kindness in both creating and interacting with this fest. Your creation must also have a positive tone, be an HP work, be thoroughly tagged, and contain at least one trans character. Works can be mature or explicit as long as they are tagged appropriately and the creator is over 18. You do not have to be part of the server to participate, though we’d love for you to join!
You can produce whatever you feel comfortable with, whether it be a drabble, a long one-shot, a doodle, a time-consuming fanart, a podfic, a collage, a fic-bind, a headcanon post… whatever you want!
The fest will run for three days and we are providing prompts for inspiration, but feel free to pick and choose or completely ignore them if you have other ideas! The collection will be opened closer to the date of publishing. In the meantime, feel free to check out the great works from last year’s fest!
You might have peeked two sets of prompts earlier on this post. For extra spiciness, we got you another entire new set of prompts!
