his own laughter rang through the area at her response, amusement unwavering as he watched her down the last bit of funnel cake in her lip. he liked a girl who wasn’t afraid to chow down in front of him. while it was less prevalent these days, he knew certain girls had a tendency to act more demure around their person of interest, but lola wasn’t like that in the slightest. she wasn’t afraid to be herself, and that was one of the many things he was attracted by.      “ wow, i’m impressed that you still have room for more after eating that whole ass funnel cake. c’mon. ”      he took the liberty of grabbing her by the hand and leading her to the fried oreos stand.      “ so, how you liking the festival so far ?  i haven’t really done much yet besides … well, eating. but that’s basically the most important thing to do here. ”

Lola liked that he didn’t treat her any differently when she ate in front of him. It never stopped her before if a guy said something but it was still nice not to be judged for doing what any ordinary person would. “I totally skipped lunch for this but I never said I could finish the fried oreo, I’ll definitely try.” she laughed a little but smiled to herself when he tugged her hand towards the stand. “Oh, I love it. My first college event.” she bounced on her feet once before nodding. “Not like you can eat these whenever you want. The time to dig in is now.”

“Yes, with Zoe. Unless you’ve made more than one trip.” She tried to fish for me information out of curiosity. “Always classy, Lo.” Jacinta winked at her friend, feeling like she’s branching out more. “I’m going to make sure that you get the ultimate college experience. Basically we gotta create some sort of bucket list.” 

“Uh duh, it was only the one.” But she wasn’t the best liar and her face showed it. Lola couldn’t help but grin when Jacinta winked at her. “A bucket list, huh? I could see myself completing one. What exactly is going to be on it though?” There were a few things she wouldn’t want on that list at all, but Lola did like impressing Jacinta.
