People tend to throw out the phrase "extremely specific kinks" as though that inherently implies something transgressive, but in my experience, the overwhelming majority of extremely specific kinks are so innocuous that you could see them in public and not even clock them. For every person who can only get off to having their nipples electrocuted, there are a dozen who are volcanically aroused by seeing their partner wearing one specific pair of socks.

Extremely specific kinks in fiction: I need several thousand dollars worth of equipment to act out an elaborate roleplaying scenario whose particulars are intimately linked to my childhood traumas.

90% of extremely specific kinks in reality: I feel tingly when I hear the word "passport", and for the life of me I cannot explain why.

Just completed...Mill House Embroidery and Paper Art, on 6" hoop base

Y’ALL. LOOK AT THIS ART!!!!!

Maybe one of my favorite uses of embroidery I’ve EVER seen. I mean, tiny things are my favorite size category of things. Giant things? Kinda cool. Regular sized things? They serve purposes. Tiny things? They bring me IMMENSE JOY.

Wow, I needed that today. Thank you, op for making such a great piece of art.

‘relationships are work’ means ‘you have to put effort into loving each other intentionally & learning how to love each other and communicating properly’ not ‘your relationship makes you feel stressed and sad most of the time & the other person disrespects you and treats you bad but you stay anyway’

yeah your relationships shouldn’t feel like clocking into a retail job

Dilf Hua Cheng

Imagine that, someday Hua Cheng decides to adhere an older appearance to his original appearance, an imagination of what he would be like if he were in his 50s, and he does it suddenly, when it was still the middle of the night and Xie Lian was still sleeping.

At dawn, when Xie Lian wakes up, stretching like a cat, the first thing he does is hold his husband's hand, and that's when he realizes that something has changed.

Xie Lian knows that the person behind him was his husband, he knows that hand was his San Lang's, but it wasn't the same hand: it was an aged man's hand, the skin was harder, the veins were a little more jumps. Beautiful and slender, as always.

Then Xie Lian turns around and, unsurprisingly, finds his husband wearing an aged appearance never seen before, already awake. It was certainly unexpected, but Xie Lian felt the same delicious shiver that he always felt when seeing his husband, and he smiled and kissed him.

“Good morning, San Lang-gege.”

Hua Cheng cradled the back of his head, closed his hand in Xie Lian's hair and pulled him closer, and Xie Lian spread his legs so that Hua Cheng could snuggle between them, pulling him as close as possible.

“Good morning my A-Lian.”

i just found out tumblr was storing over three GIGABYTES of cookies on my device without me knowing and that's why it's been running so fucking slow recently... incredible. anyways everyone go clear your fucking cookies. don't let this website run a goddamn video game's worth of disc space in the background for no good reason.

on firefox: settings → search "cookies" → scroll down → "manage cookies" → tumblr should be at the very top because of how much space it's taking → select it → clear cookies → save changes. done

reblogging with my (edited/expanded) replies cause this actually got my dash loading properly again.

for desktop Firefox, go to Settings -> "Privacy & Security" -> "Cookies & Site Data" -> [Manage Data…], select Tumblr.com from the list, click [Remove Selected] and [Save Changes] (this will log you out of Tumblr)

for mobile Firefox, go to Settings -> "Delete browsing data" -> ensure that ONLY "Cached images and files" is checked, then tap [Delete browsing data] at the bottom. (this will affect ALL sites, so you might want to be on wifi if you're worried about network/data use)

Given that my cookie-managing extension didn't see the 1.5 gigs of data I had to delete on my desktop, the site is likely caching a bunch of dumb shit for way too long for some reason and not like, building up a massive cookie.

I know, I know - I'm being pedantic, but I think it's worth yelling about the right thing if you're gonna start yelling (and we probably should be yelling...)

Anyway, Tumblr's been caching something while we scroll our dashboards. Could it be like, every image? Just thumbnails? Maybe, but I think that would balloon WAY faster. I hate gambling, but I'd bet that they started caching post IDs/timestamps/positions/etc for that silly "Now where were we?" pop-up that I've always ignored because I was refreshing my dash to get new posts. And eventually we end up with over a gigabyte of pointers to posts and flags as to they were rendered on our screen or not, bogging down your machine every time to refresh the page. But someone more adept at digging into things can confirm or deny that.

Yue Qingyuan is a fun character because depending on what angle you look at him from, he is either surprisingly well-adjusted or surprisingly unhinged.

If you're looking at Yue Qingyuan, the composed, reasonable, ever-polite sect leader, you will probably be taken aback by how much of that is just smoke and mirrors. And not just like one layer, either, it's not simple like "beneath that smiling facade he's actually an ambitious asshole" or something, no, beneath the first layer of smoke and mirrors there is another one, and then another one, all piled up and twisted together over a core that is a terrified and starving child. He's like one of those old English pubs where the wood rot is so thorough that it's actually what's keeping the roof from collapsing.

But if you're looking at the former slave child who had to be the biggest, most responsible of a gang of neglected and traumatized urchins, who ran away to become a cultivator only to make a wrong choice that got his entire body and spirit taken apart and put back together again, only to lose the one relationship that mattered to him, then the fact that he's anything other than a weeping mess on the floor is genuinely impressive.

Fantasy Is A Metaphor For The Human Condition, a comic about magic, and art, and speculative fiction, and being sick, and how they all intersect. Originally laid out/pencilled November-December 2017, when I was in a very difficult place emotionally as I was relearning how to draw post-brain injury.

New chapter to In Tune. It starts with Mobei family trivia and then goes rapidly downhill, as one does.

Get yourself a scum villain who reacts to every source of stress by qi deviating, it will be a treat.

Nononono PLEASE SHARE YOUR MOBEI-MOM THOUGHTS!! PLEASE!!

And maybe sqq thoughts. And tlj thoughts. And sqh thoughts. And —

You get it. ;)

Avatar

I'm glad you'd like to hear more I have a lot of thoughts. Do you have any topic in mind in particular? XD

Something for me to think on after I'm done with this chapter and SQQ's latest freakout. Stupid man is qi deviating again, as you do.

It is in fact very funny that a couple of dudes got so sick of waiting for Animusic 3 that they figured out how Animusic's technique of procedurally animating rigged instrument models based on MIDI input worked, wrote their own software, and started making their own original Animusic-style videos.

You know, I just realized that I also made our Mobei’s parents fit the “gorgeous OP being of almost unimaginable power and their (comparatively) weak and pathetic squeaky toy” mold.

Amazing, really.

I spent maybe 10 minutes on this, but this is them. This is Lady Heiying and her tiny weasel husband.
