Something Valtteri said in an interview for Helsingin Sanomat:

Q: How does it feel when Lewis calls you the best teammate this sport has ever seen?

"Incredibly nice, especially when they are said by such a legend. It really does mean a lot. Its not every driver or person who he says that about. He values what I give for the team and that feels great."

Q: How much closer are you guys now than you were in the beginning of your journey?

"Especially this year I truly have gotten to know Lewis much more. We have been travelling in the same plane to races and away from them, and in the process our friendship has truly grown. This year has been actually the first one we have been messaging and seeing each other also outside of the races. In previous years we have been doing our own things but this year has been very much different."

Q: What's the kind of picture you have gotten of Lewis over the years?

"Lewis is an incredibly nice guy. He is very focused on his work and pushes incredibly hard to get every bit of performace. In my view he has found just the right balance in his life also. I have so so so much respect for him outside and inside the racetrack. I also think he has many incredible years still ahead of him in this sport, his passion and love for it is so big."
